HUB sex scandal litigation: who's suing who

The above diagram does not represent ownership stakes in each respective LLC, license or property. See https://www.nj.com/hudson/index.ssf/2018/10/court_claims_fly_in_wake_of_hoboken_bar_sex_scanda.html

Big props to The Jersey Journal's Terence T McDonald, for unwinding the complicated ownership of Hoboken's scandalized Hudson Ultra Bar (HUB.)  He did an excellent piece of investigative reporting about the byzantine web of real property, a liquor license, HUB management owned in part by LLCs owned by other LLCs owned by LLCs and/or people.

For anyone whose spent the last 2 months in a cave, HUB was the venue where video of the "Slut Whisperer" dousing champagne on a  couple performing sex acts went viral-- across the globe.  Consequently, the HPD has reportedly opened a criminal investigation and  the ABC Board charged HUB's liquor license with 15 violations (so far); the Jersey Journal ominous prediction:  "more are coming." What does that mean?

The point of untangling HUB's ownership web was a prelude to the real news, reported by McDonald:

"Two days after The Hub shut down, the Finis and Cappiello began eviction proceedings against HubNJ Group. A court hearing is scheduled for this month.

On Sept. 17, the trio, in their capacity as part owners of The Hub, filed a seven-count complaint against the McCues in Hudson County Superior Court’s chancery division, seeking a judge to remove the McCues' LLCs as co-managers of HubNJ Group; stop the use of any funds in the bar's bank accounts; appoint a special fiscal agent to take control of the bar; immediately suspend all of The Hub’s social media accounts; and dissolve HubNJ Group.

In that complaint, the Finis and Cappiello allege that the McCues mismanaged the bar and that James McCue was present the night the sex acts were caught on video."

The article goes on:

"On Sept. 27, three LLCs controlled by the McCues filed an 11-count lawsuit against the Finis, Cappiello and the multiple LLCs they control. The brothers say that, after Teak on the Hudson closed, the Finis and Cappiello said they would help pay for renovations at 16 Hudson Pl. to make way for The Hub, then did not contribute any cash. The brothers also allege the Finis and Cappiello were supposed to sign over control of the Teak liquor license to them but failed to do so."

HUB V TEAK LAWSUIT

Hey, whatever happened to the stars of the HUB worldwide video sensation?   Allegedly, one is a Philadelphia police officer.

How come he hasn't been fingered?  Aren't the PA police on the ball?   You'd think this couple would have been in and out, in and out, and in and out of court by now.  Oooooh. Aaaaah.

Kinda looks like the PA cops are't taking this seriously. Considering HUB employees lost their jobs over this, and  a whole city took a mud bath, it should be taken seriously.

GA hopes that the ABC Board will consider that HUB hired  the "Slut Whisperer" at least half a dozen times before the September 8 incident.  It's not like everyone involved didn't know what they were getting-- or risking.
