Posted within hours after GA debunked Petrosino's Fake News |
What did GA tell you?
HoLa Trustee Petrosino haunts this blog.
That lump o' bile-in-human-form reacts whenever GA posts about Hoboken district schools; oftentimes they are rebuttals to the vomit on his "education" blog.
Well, within hours of my post debunking his Fake News about the proportion of Hoboken district kids qualified for free and reduced-lunch, the Texas Truth-Twister launched a Facebook disinformation campaign!
Yes, a Facebook campaign.
Crapasino linked his Fake News article and begged 'friends' in chain-mail fashion: "please send to at least 2 people..."
And people, don't be fooled by the benign title; this 'education blog' article is seeded with nasty, false, bitter, malevolent attacks on Hoboken District schools; in other words, the usual.
So, GA was interested to hear from a new reader who contacted me about yesterday's post. Here is our exchange, minus identifiers.
Anon: Hi Nancy, your latest blog post that mentions 'Petrosino', is that Anthony Petrosino? Dr?
Me: Yep sure is. Do you have the misfortune of his acquaintance?
Anon: Let me put it this way - he's a liar and a weasel. He blocked me long ago. I simply pointed out some graphs that he put up were incorrect, and were purposely changed by him. He called me a bunch of names and then blocked me.
Me: That's funny! If you do a search on my site- keyword "crapademic" you will find quite a collection. I've been blogging about his bullshit for years!
Anon: He put up 'research' that was easily disproven.
Me: He literally makes shit up.
Anon: He makes shit up; then when called out on it tries to erase the proof that he's a liar. I really got annoyed by that.
Me: Cannot get past the fact that a bunch of moms kicked his weaselly little ass out of Hoboken in 2009- he used to be the Asst. Superintendent WHILE he was teaching a class in Austin! The double-dipping little shit! I enjoy debunking him, but it does get tedious. It seems like he's immune to humiliation.
Anon: Is he aligned with the Raia/Mason crew? He is immune to humiliation- he simply ignores the part where he gets proven wrong and continues as if it never happened. I proved that he was outright lying about something, and he got nasty. That was at the end of my debunking crusade. And I never called him any names, never really attacked him. That's what really annoyed me about the blocking thing. Very petty.
Me: Yep.
Anon: And a high-five for debunking that fraud Petrosino!
"Very petty"- so true, Anon!
The thin-skinned Truth-Twister doesn't permit comment on his 'education blog' - he can't take criticism, doesn't want to be called out on his mendacity, edits his Fake News based on comments posted on GA- plain weird.
GA has to assume HoLa's administration supports this conduct, since Petrosino still sits on their Board.
As long as he sits on the Board of HOLA, I consider the whole HOLA community to be a fraud. The fact that those clowns on the Board get my tax money, to spend without any audit supervision and not accountable to the taxpayers of Hoboken, is disgusting.
ReplyDeleteTime to take it to his employer. Enough already.
ReplyDeletehe just keeps going.... the energizer bunny of fraud.
ReplyDeleteHe hasn't figured out that not only are people paying attention, the people who are paying attention are smarter than he is and can easily call him out when he is wrong. Lame made the same miscalculation.
ReplyDeleteHe has always been respectful to me
ReplyDeleteNo complaints. He was always a good tipper.
DeleteWhat - your one of the jerk off hide their head in the sand HOLA Board Members?
DeleteHey - Petrosino - Don't you have a class to teach somewhere in Austin? Why in the hell are you skulking around here trying to pat yourself on the back - the jig is up, GO AWAY, douche bag.
DeleteHe lists a bunch of schools. where is hola?
ReplyDeleteThe chart is crap- not current. Petro could have pulled current data, but it didn't tell the story he wants to put out.
DeleteThe most current free and reduced lunch stats (2014-2015) are online, I've also posted them here. HoLa is 11.7% FRL, the district (elementary and JSHS) is 68% FRL (my math). Of course FRL varies between district schools.
Where is HOLA, you ask? HOLA is in the poo filled toilet bowl of conflicted ethics with Petroino's hand on the handle flushing it frantically. WHOOSH!
DeleteMaybe he needs a phone light shining in his eyes.
DeleteDo you think it dawns on him how horrific this graph is (even with his fake numbers)?
ReplyDeleteDr, Anthony Petrosino, Hoboken, HoLa Charter School... You would think that he understands that this sort of intentional political distortiongaming only serves to discredit both himself and HoLa Charter.
ReplyDeleteIf you send your kids to HoLa you should be embarrassed by Petrosino and the hola gang.
ReplyDeleteI am SO SICK of this guy, just as bad as the weasel with the easel (and look where it got HIM). Kudos to GA and numerous commenters here for continuing to fight back against his bullshit and lies, I wouldn't have the patience or stamina to keep calling him out over and over and over again.
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm sick of him too. But, it's like treating a tumor- if you leave it alone, it'll keep growing and kill you. So you really have no choice but to zap it over and over again until it disappears.
DeleteZAP!
That's not the issue.
DeleteThe issue is the continuous LYING.
In fact someone in Austin was made aware of the odiousness of all the LYING such that he deleted the most recent round of LYING from his facebook page.
That's some pretty hefty LYING even for him. Wouldn't you say, 8:35?
Simple.
8:35- Nice try. You are using the wrong metric. Hola's demographic SHOULD mirror the SCHOOL AGE demographics not the entire city population demographics. It does not. Hispanics and FRL eligible kids are under-represented. Hoboken public school demographics more closely mirror Hoboken's SCHOOL AGE demographics but whites are under represented. Simple.
DeleteTexas turdblossoms are not welcome here.
DeleteZAP!
Abbott districts are school districts in New Jersey that are provided remedies to ensure that their students receive public education in accordance with the state constitution. They were created in 1985 as a result of the first ruling of Abbott v. Burke, a case filed by the Education Law Center. The ruling asserted that public primary and secondary education in **poor communities** throughout the state was unconstitutionally substandard.
DeleteVladimir Putin is more honest when discussing the non-invasion of Ukraine than the average HoLa supporter on this site.
DeleteIt is interesting that part of Hola's defense of population disparity is "staving off "white Flight":completely negates that there is no disparity.
DeleteAs a board member this Petrochino person should know his own school's defense strategy.
How did that lottery work out?
ReplyDeleteSeems if one is doing a lottery, it recognizes that there are some issues in regards to population. Student population didnt change much since the lottery. Looks like lies are all he has left.
On an annual basis, the Commissioner shall assess the student composition of a charter school and the segregative effect that the loss of the students may have on its district of residence. The assessment shall be based on the enrollment from the initial recruitment period pursuant to N.J.A.C. 6A:11-4.4(b). The charter school shall submit data for the assessment:
1. In a format prescribed by the Commissioner; and
2. No later than 4:15 P.M. on June 1.
The board of trustees of a charter school may request that the Commissioner exempt the school from State regulations concerning public schools, except those pertaining to assessment, testing, civil rights, and student health and safety, if the board of trustees
satisfactorily demonstrates to the Commissioner that the exemption will advance the educational goals and objectives of the school.
6A:11-6.1 Tenure acquisition
An employee of a charter school shall acquire streamline tenure pursuant to guidelines developed
by the Commissioner. The charter school shall specify the security and protection to be afforded
to the employee in accordance with the Commissioner’s guidelines. All teaching staff members, janitors, and secretaries shall acquire streamline tenure in a
charter school after five consecutive full academic years of effective employment"
Every charter school must participate in the State pension systems and liability for required employer contributions.
Employees of Private Entities Involved in — Charter School Management
Some charter schools are managed by private entities. These private entities may employ administrators and support staff and then assign them to work at a charter school. The Division of Pensions and Benefits assumes that all employees of charter schools are public employeessubject to enrollment
In accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:36A-13 and N.J.A.C. 6A:27-3.1, a district board of education
shall provide transportation or aid in lieu of transportation to a student in kindergarten through
grade 12 who attends a charter school.
Under New Jersey law, the school is the local education agency for special education. The law requires the school to provide and fund special education services except for low-incident, high-cost students, for which the resident school district takes the responsibility and funding obligation.
STATE SEEMS TO IGNORE THIS EVERY YEAR:
In the case of a student who was not included in the district’s projected resident enrollment for the school year, the law requires the state to pay 100 percent of the amount required pursuant to subsection b of this section for the first year of the student’s enrollment in the charter school.
The lottery will take awhile to do what it is intended to do.
DeleteThe lottery will never work. How about quotas instead and no sibling preferences. That would work.
DeleteInstead of quotas, how about doubling the size of the charter?
DeleteThat would never work, 7:55. Where would they find another Boys & Girls Club to chase the poor minority kids out of? 123 Jeff used to be packed before the B&G club jacked up prices and stopped serving nutritious meals to the B&G kids. Double the size of the school? Maybe Maxwell Place can clear out a few floors for an HoLa Annex.
DeleteThere is plenty of classroom space in the existing public school buildings to expand. You just need to think outside the box. I think the public would embrace the increased opportunity for their child's attendence
DeleteThe extra classroom space at the BOE schools is yet another reason HoLa should cease to exist - one of many.
DeleteHola doesnt exist because of lack of space, it exists because of failure and incompetence with the Hoboken public school leadership
DeleteAnon @8:35 am
DeleteWhere is this space you are suggesting?
No, it exists b/c one founder didn't want to pay for private school and the other wanted a taxpayer funded job with no accountability to the voters.
DeleteThe point is that there is excessive seating capacity- charters in Hoboken can easily expand to meet the growing demand for quality educational choice in the community.
DeleteHoLa doesn't count as a quality educational choice in Hoboken unless you want to teach kids that "getting what's theirs" is the most important thing in life. The BOE is perfectly capable of handling more students and if that isn't good enough, then parents are free to pay for private school.
Delete6:22 am,
DeleteCare to back that up? In which building? Where are you getting that facts that you are not posting.
Facts were posted but your fearless leader deleted it. Ask GA to repost it. Glad I copied it down when first posted. See: Anonymous December 19, 2016 at 11:01 PM
DeleteHey 10:07, aka lardass petrosino. Are you going to defend your surplus when you had all the money in the legal slush fund and nothing in capital repairs? That should be entertaining. Better get going on some graphs.
DeleteTaith, the "facts posted" not only did NOT answer your question, they were numbers the prof pulled from his arse, with no substantiation whatsoever- aka fake news. I am not hosting the professor's fake news. I am not a platform to disseminate his trash. I challenge him to take the "facts" he posted here and put it on his "education blog" with documentation to back it up. I look forward to that.
DeleteI AM very interested in why the professor's school board stuffed millions in the legal reserve, none in maintainance or capital reserves. What happened to those millions?
The 2006-08 board was no more the professor's school board than the current school board is the former Connor's principal's school board.
DeleteHere's how sad your situation is 9:07. EVERYone know who made this post because NOone gives a rats ass about you and would bother to defend you. Suck on that.
DeleteYou are part of a big ugly blob. The old guard raiders of the money that was supposed to be used to educate the kids. You have no trouble pointing the finger over and over and over at the (necessary) surplus maintained by the current BOE. Yet you pretend to have nothing to do with, no knowledge of and no responsibility for the deplorable surplus during your tenure.
Instead of debating this point repeatedly with you running away like a frightened little girl then returning then running away again - let's keep it simple.
Go fuck yourself you vicious little fraud. You had your chance. You fucked it up. Your chance is over.
9:07- incorrect analogy. A principal is not an Assistant District Superintendent like "the professor". The 2007-2009 board is the "professor's board" during which audits show check writing protocol was not followed and checks were being written out of the business office, under the purview of the Superintendent and his Assistant Superintendent. Could that be why the "professor" is so angry at the Board that fired him? I have no idea.
DeleteHoLa...now in its second year offering a weighted lottery and approaching its 3rd year fighting ongoing litigation by the local Board of Education.....your tax dollars (NOT) at work!
ReplyDeleteHoLa has spent over $200,000 fighting the local BOE's efforts to reverse the state decision to allow expansion of two grades. Much more money will be spent in 2017.
Proud to know that for many years HoLa staff and parents have enacted tremendous outreach to ensure that families in public housing are aware of this unique school and well supported in the application process.
The law requires that charter schools have admission policies that attempt to enroll students representing the community of Hoboken. Key word #1 is ATTEMPT...A weighted lottery and tremendous outreach is a BIG attempt.
Key word #2, each charter school should represent the COMMUNITY demographics which we do.
It is a token effort when you consider the siblings of current students get priority and losers of the HoLa lottery who come from wealthier families will go off to private school instead of BOE schools. That dynamic pretty much insures the school will never be truly representative.
DeleteIf Hola cares so much about the taxpayers, why don't y'all just fire your redundant administrators, agree to pause your expansion for 2 years, and work out a better relationship with everyone that doesn't drink your kool-aid?
DeleteMany HoLa parents only care about not having to pay private school tuition. Remember that one parent who was demanding HoLa be approved so she wouldn't have to pay a deposit for private school? lol
DeleteSibling preference is fine and has been used by Hoboken public schools for years for various preschool, afterschool, and building enrollment decisions.
DeleteIn all fairness, nothing about HoLa is "fine".
DeleteWho's buying the "$200k in legal fees" claim? The district's legal fees have been far less- capped at $20K I believe. Why is HoLa allegedly spending 10x the amount that the district is spending? No one should believe a word of their claim unless they prove it.
DeleteHoLa can prove their claim by posting the legal invoices online. If it is true that they have spent that much, instead of looking for a firm to take them pro bono or on a not-to-exceed amount (HoLa bd member Martinez is a charter lobbyist and has connections) then HoLa is a poor steward of public monies.
As far as "much more money" will be spent by Hola on legal fees, that is the fault and failure of HoLa not to negotiate with counsel or find affordable representation. Until they show their legal invoices, I call their claim "El baloney.
Hola Afterschool Coordinator is the Boys and Girls club Director---Carmelo Garcia's wife. You cannot make this shit up.
ReplyDeleteGee, wonder why he doesnt support quotas.
ReplyDeletei'm a regulare reader of your blog and a big fan of yours but the fact remains the 2009 campaign literature complained about the children's test scires (attack #1), that teachers didnt pay for their health insurance (attack #2), or the per pupil costs (attack #3). The longer day cost a lot of $$$ and has not halted plummeting test scores (351 out of 377). 6 superintendents in 7 yrs, multiple district configurations, Connors and Calabro erasure scandals, girls being assaulted in elevators, below average HS graduation rates, failing QSAC score in Instruction and Program 5 years running....you ought to either stop allowing comments or start facing the truth. Speaking of Christmas, remember when your buddies didnt allow Santa Claus in Calabro?
ReplyDeleteFolks, the above spamming douchebag a.k.a. the Texas Truth-Twister and/or an acolyte, has copy-pasted the above trash 8 times on Christmas Eve, and a couple of times today on Christmas. Yes folks, its true. I delete the trash, he re-posts. On Christmas Eve and Christmas. This is the trash the hateful "Dr." Anthony Petrosino posted under the pseudonym "CuriousGal" on Patch. Hundreds of posts, just like this.
ReplyDeleteFolks, this is one crazy douchbag!
Happy holiday!
