Look Who Wants 'Privacy'!

Oh, this is rich.

I checked my GA email today and found this:

A privacy complaint made to YouTube regarding the posting of this video clip from the December 15th City Council meeting.

The clip is the portion of activist Lane Bajardi's public comments which you can find posted in context here on GA.

Here's how I described it back then:

"At last night's City Council meeting, Bajardi released a 'racism' trial balloon so grotesque that the audience actually hissed. I will post the video clip when it's ready but to summarize, Bajardi obliquely accused CC minority members whose "names did not end in a vowel" of racism against (presumably) those whose names DO end in a vowel."

So... WHO on Earth do you think made this complaint?

(play video clip below NOW)

TIME'S UP!

Bajardi, of course.

How ironic is THAT?

Bajardi gets up every 2 weeks and ATTACKS citizens publicly at an open, governemnt meeting attended by press, live-streamed on the internet and archived there, and TELEVISED... but cries like a bitch that his "privacy is being invaded" when his speech appears on GA?

Bajardi, who fishes material off this web site to shop around to media outlets in an effort to damage yours truly?

Note: I have NEVER complained about his right to do so. Nor tried to stop him. Though an argument could be made that the downloading and publishing of GA's original graphics without permission is intellectual property theft. I COULD make that argument, but never have. YET.

My goodness, Bajardi wants "privacy".

Wasn't he the one to download material from GA to disseminate nationally on the Washington PAC NJDC website, for NJDC Donor Beth Mason and her fundraiser, NJDC Board of Directors member Larry Stempler?

Here's my reply to YouTube:

And here's what I have to say to the complaint-maker:

You, who use this blog as a hunting ground for images to use against me at public forums like the City Council, and USE those same public forums to express your right of free speech in fact, to disseminate propaganda and attacks on citizens... think you're special, that you- and only YOU- deserve PRIVACY?

And others DON'T?

Here's a lesson for you. When you get up to speak at a public government hearing being streamed and archived on the internet and TELEVISED, then use speech you aren't ASHAMED of.

And then won't have to cry for "privacy" when others revisit your public speech on public forums like GA.

Comments

  1. The city council meetings are a public event. It is taped and showed on Channel 78. Anything anyone says (including myself) is public. If you don't want your speech to be broadcast then stay home or sit quietly in the audience. When you cut and paste from a website you are especially a fair target. It's ok to do it to Nancy but not to yourself? Stay home or risk to be quoted, that's the way it works.

  2. Does this mean we'll no longer be subject to public easel performances at the City Council meetings- publicly recorded meetings..... is he withdrawing from public life? GA this would be funny if it wasn't so sad. As I've said before we need a new lexicon to replace the insufficient words "double standard and hypocrisy" to describe his/their behavior. You can't make this-up....

  3. You said it, ss1959 and hulla!

    And said it very well.

  4. Well, I'm not a big fan of strong language, but I can tell you that if people could turn a buck at irony, his favorite councilperson would be working for HIM. This is to irony what the final scene of "The Natural" is to baseball.
