It started out as a few random comments on the nj.com forum, so noxious they disappeared as quickly as mosquitoes hitting a bug zapper.
One of them was titled ZIMMER = RACIST.
Then yesterday on MSV this post appeared:
click on any to read
And this:
Are you getting the picture? Let me break it down for you.
It's the unrolling of a new anti-Zimmer administration talking point.
That's how it's done, folks.
Paid political operatives seed the blogs and forums with their message, releasing it into the zeitgeist like spores through the air spreading fungus. The toxic 'message' floats around for a while, then in accordance with Goebbels' 'Big Lie', takes on a life of it's own via its ubiquity.
Are you familiar with Goebbels' 'Big Lie'?
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”
So, what happens next? After percolating in cyberspace for awhile the 'message' is taken for a test-drive.
That's where Lane Bajardi, Beth Mason's political operative and purple pillow carrier comes in.
At last night's City Council meeting, Bajardi released a 'racism' trial balloon so grotesque that the audience actually hissed. I will post the video clip when it's ready but to summarize, Bajardi obliquely accused CC minority members whose "names did not end in a vowel" of racism against (presumably) those whose names DO end in a vowel.
HUH?
I didn't get it either.
But then, I don't spend every waking hour brewing in hatred so pure that it surely must twist one's mind like a Bavarian pretzel.
The roll-out of this depraved and amoral new talking point tells you everything you need to know about the characters of Beth Mason, Lane Bajardi and all who assist them in disseminating such vicious and divisive rhetoric.
And just think how ironic it is that this Mason political operation employs the Big Lie tactic, when she tried to RUIN me with the very accusation I'd compared her to a Nazi.
Think about it.
It's time to end this. Next May.
Vote Tom Greaney for 2nd Ward City Councilman.
(Updated 12/17/10, 1:20 pm)
For your viewing displeasure, thar he blows... Bajardi at the City Council. His disgraceful remarks start at the 0:49 second mark.
Please note how Mason's minion whines after being admonished by CC President Carol Marsh for his race-baiting: "...it's ok when your bloggers do it"... about the mean bloggers (presumably MSV, HJ, GA) as he himself is neck deep in the Hoboken411.com smear-factory mud; a ghostwriter for the Mason-tabloid, in fact.
Great graphics,GA!
ReplyDeleteBeth Mason started down this path at the December 1st meeting when she took Da Horsey to task for using the word "plantation". She showed everyone her ignorance by not understanding how Da Horsey was actually using the word. Subtlety is not her strong suit. Ditto with respect to her Diminuitive Minion. Did people actually hiss while he was playing the race card? That's a new one. I'll have to think up another way to condemn Lane's remarks without actually speaking.
I suggest water balloons. Everyone should toss water balloons at Lane. That is what you toss at clowns.
ReplyDeleteBeth Mason knew what she was doing at the last meeting and yes, her Mason411 minion did as well.
ReplyDeleteThe audience pretty low key most of the night reacted immediately to the horrid race baiting remarks.
Problem is once you and your team start dealing the race card from the bottom of the deck, there's no other game to play. You've reached bottom.
She has been scraping bottom for a long while. That is why she is in bed w/ the crooks now. A couple years ago it was just a casual flirtation. Now she is in full blown cahoots. She might as well change her name to Russo and stop pretending she isn't "part of the family".
ReplyDeleteHorsey, to follow your final point... How does this despicable behavior win the hearts and minds of her constituents in the 2nd Ward?
ReplyDeleteOther than some kind of short-term gratification, does she really believe playing racial politics gets her a win in May?
The difference is that people in Sky Club, etc. paid for their unit out of their own pocket. If you receive a government subsidy you are a public person. If you want annimity get your own place. If you cannot afford it accept the rules as given.
ReplyDeleteGoing back to the layoffs - that'd be like 17 tirades ago - he criticized Bhalla for voting to layoff the "first Asian police officer in the history of Hoboken" or something like that. There was a lot of mouth-foam flying at the time, so getting the exact quote is hard. Then later, Beth was "the first Jewish councilwoman in the history of Hoboken."
ReplyDeleteIntellectually it's all junk food. But that's the deal. It's aimed at the uninformed. Here's the problem. You want the uninformed you have to get them to like you and go from there. These are deeply unattractive human beings. No I am not referring to looks. They're creeps. They lose the middle for a reason.
Mason will be providing ample footage for campaign ads from the president's chair. It's not just winning the battle and losing the war. It's losing the war precisely because you won the battle.
SS, what do you mean by 'public person?' People, whether they are rich or poor, on the dole or high on the hog, are Americans with all the same rights, like it or not.
ReplyDeleteMy money is on the plan being win the 2nd ward if possible, of course, understandably not deemed likely, but much more importantly, while still in the spotlight of councilperson, taint the opposition as a pump prime for the next mayoral race. It's the only thing that makes sense, work the town-wide voter base for the next three years. And use everything including the kitchen sink (you know who's at her disposal, and draining as can be). Council, shmouncil, it isn't the goal anymore, and possibly even better if she isn't on the dais for three more years of open mike attacks by a certain someone while she lays safely off camera in wait.

ReplyDelete...and I left out, I've heard and read many a time that statistically, to win the Mayoral one must win the 4th Ward, and to do that one must win the 4-4.
ReplyDeleteJust watched the clip which I missed live- it's disturbing and surreal on so many levels but technically Mello and Bhalla both have last names that end in vowels.... looks like Bajardi needs to "refine" the new big lie.
