ANOTHER Councilperson throws INDOOR fundraiser (as covid-19 skyrockets in Hoboken)

They could! They did! Watch them! From far away! Don't get close! And wear a f*cking mask!

Did you attend a fundraiser on the night of November 12th?  If so, I hope it was this one:

Yes, a virtual fundraiser.

Virtual, in recognition of Hoboken's alarming daily double-digit increase in confirmed cases of coronavirus, a reliable predictor of per-capita rise in community infection.

Virtual fundraising is what responsible members of the Hoboken community do during a public health crisis. Yes, mature, civic-minded adults; unselfish grown-ups who willingly sacrifice the company of others because they know that SARS-COV-2 is an airborne, aggressive, awful virus, deadly in some. They care about their neighbors. Virtual event planners protect their guests, themselves, and the Hoboken community at large, while accomplishing their fundraising objective.

So from a public health standpoint, I hope you went to that one.

Because the other November 12 fundraiser- and the one thrown on October 26- was for girls and boys who just wanna have fun.

Their invitations say stuff like "masks will be required" or "the event will be in compliance with the state's social distancing regulations" but photos taken at the event tell a much different story.  Photos posted on social media show spotty mask-wearing, show mask-less guests side-by-side or packed like sardines in a can.  Councilwoman Falco's November 12 "birthday" fundraiser appears to have been sparsely attended and show Falco mostly wearing a mask, but DeFusco's October 26 event could reasonably be characterized as potential super-spreader.

October 26 fundraiser- this was advertised as 'outdoor'

So, now the Hoboken City Council has TWO members who declined to hold safe, virtual events in order to fill their political coffers-- without concern for the health and well-being of the Hoboken community.

And, if that weren't enough.... Councilwoman Falco is fundraising for a campaign account that does not exist.

According to ELEC records, Councilwoman Falco has never filed an individual campaign account. There is no "Vanessa Falco for At Large Councilwoman."  Her only municipal campaign account was filed in 2017 for the last mayoral election and was filed jointly with Andrew Impastato and Michael Flett.

So, where are these checks for $100, $150 and $250 being deposited if there is no "Vanessa Falco for At Large Councilwoman" campaign account?

Is it legal to fundraise for a campaign that hasn't been opened?

Anybody got time and energy to report this to NJ-ELEC?  Yeah, yeah. Same old nonsense from the same old constellation of Dark Stars.  Only this time, throwing in-person parties puts the rest of us, our families, our community at risk of a disgusting illness.

Think about this: six Hoboken residents are currently battling coronavirus at HUMC.  That's five more than last week.
