BLM protest winds through Hoboken (Pics)

Hello, folks. Here are some photos- posted in sequence- from today's peaceful BLM protest march. The protest began at 1 PM at Maxwell Place Park and headed downtown on Sinatra to Pier A Park. It was supposed to terminate there, but some protesters had a different idea.  One group turned west on First Street, with a stop at the Hoboken Police Headquarters, then on to City Hall. Then protesters walked north to 6th Street on Washington, then turned west. The march proceeded along 6th Street down to Jackson Street, where it turned to head downtown along Jackson. The last photo here (of Luigi!) was taken at around 3:30 PM.

So, that's all I know.

But based on observation, I don't expect the march to disband at the official end time, 4 PM.  We'll have to wait until tomorrow to know how and when the protest wrapped up, and whether unwanted third parties swooped in to hijack the peace. In the meantime,  I am proud that so many Hoboken peeps turned out in solidarity with the marchers.

Here's to each and every one of us being part of a better, just society.
