LETTERS from the PUBLIC: overwhelming support for Constituent Services

All six council members voted "YES" on First Reading of the ordinance to abolish The Office of Constituent Services

As you know by now, Wednesday night the above council members will vote to shut down Hoboken's Office of Constituent Services-- for good.  

Note, they have received dozens of testimonials supporting the Office of Constituent Services, but have chosen not to share any with the public tomorrow.  Not one letter will be read into the public record. Worse, these council members have planned to call the vote an "emergency" in order to abolish the Constituent Services quickly, before these voices and others can be heard.  All six council members are poised to ignore overwhelming public sentiment in favor of retaliatory partisan politics. The people really getting hurt are our City's  most vulnerable residents amidst a pandemic. Here are some of their letters (that council members don't want you to see.)

  1. Having a single source for the residents of Hoboken to ask questions or get easy access to city services is why the Office of Constituent Services department was created. It works.
    It makes Hoboken an easier and better place to live.
