Today I am writing about a new Hoboken volunteer group, Supporters of the Harborage (SOTH) who don't want to be thanked. They simply want to feed front line workers at a hard-hit North Bergen nursing home, The Harborage. The Harborage has been one of the hardest hit by COVID-19 in Hudson County, with 181 confirmed positives, and 25 deaths- more than in the City of Hoboken- as of today.
SOTH does not collect donations, they connect individual donors with participating restaurants.
Simply put, donors contribute directly to the restaurants who will then deliver delicious meals to the hardworking Harborage front line workers. This group is in the process of organizing, so for now here is how you can help...
SEND A DINNER FROM RIVER VIEW DINER
River View Diner will send Harborage staff 60 dinners (chicken sandwich, fries, coleslaw, pickles, lettuce and tomato). They cost $10 each. Simply call up and order one meal or more, as part of this effort.
