Folks, the fourth case of COVID-19 in Hoboken has been confirmed.  We are on the low end of the infection curve- behind China and Europe- which means the number of confirmed cases will likely to soon to spike up.  That is why, even if you are asymptomatic now, you should listen to and practice all of the City of Hoboken advisories, in sync with the New Jersey Department of Health and CDC guidelines.

Last night, from Mayor Bhalla:

STATEMENT FROM MAYOR RAVI BHALLA ON FOURTH POSITIVE COVID-19 CASE IN HOBOKEN

According to the Hoboken Health Department, a woman in her 40’s is confirmed as the fourth positive case of COVID-19 in Hoboken. She is currently under observation at a hospital, and her family is in self-quarantine as a precaution. The woman has proactively informed those that she may have come into contact with, and our Health Department is conducting a timeline of interaction and monitoring all individuals.

If you believe you may have come into contact with someone who was infected, you should self-quarantine yourself out of an abundance of caution, and if you begin to have symptoms, call your healthcare provider. Please do not utilize the emergency room unless it is a true medical emergency requiring immediate attention. If you feel sick, please stay home.

Thank you to all residents for going above and beyond to show support for your neighbors during this time of uncertainty. Please continue to practice social distancing, washing your hands, and working from home to limit the spread of COVID-19 within our community.
