UPDATE: VIGIL for JC massacre victims TOMORROW

UPDATE:
Sorry folks, there has been a bit of confusion. The vigil WILL be held tomorrow, Friday 13th but the location has been changed to City Hall Annex at 1 Jackson Square, Jersey City; the funeral for Detective Seals will be held next Tuesday.

Eytan Stern Weber, the NJ Communications Lead for Moms Demand Action issued the revised schedule with this message:

"After hearing the news that this was, in fact, a targeted anti-Semitic shooting, we've adjusted the scope of the event. Also, please note a slight change in location. I apologize for the confusion, but please reach out if you have any questions."

______________

Too awful.  Prayers for the families and all those who loved  the four innocent shooting victims, one a veteran Jersey City police officer.

According to Hudson County View: "New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal will be hosting a press conference at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office, located at 595 Newark Ave., at 2 p.m. this afternoon to provide further updates on the situation."

Hoboken Mayor Bhalla issued the following statement earlier today:

STATEMENT BY MAYOR BHALLA ON JERSEY CITY SHOOTING

“Yesterday was a tragic day in Jersey City. As we learn more details about the incident, on behalf of the City of Hoboken, I offer my deepest sympathies to family of the deceased police officer, and the innocent civilians who lost their life. Today, flags at Hoboken municipal buildings will be lowered to half-staff to honor the victims.

The tragedy underscores the tremendous work of our police officers and first responders, who put their lives on the line every day to protect our City and region. I want to express my gratitude Hoboken Police Chief Ken Ferrante and the Hoboken Police Department, which immediately responded with twelve officers and our Emergency Services Unit as the incident unfolded. Given the update that the gunmen targeted a kosher supermarket, I’ve been in touch with Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop and our local Jewish faith leaders to offer my support and any resources that they need during this difficult time. While there is no known imminent threat, our Hoboken Police Department will increase their presence at our Jewish places of worship and gathering, as well as our schools, to ensure the safety of all residents.”
