I think the sentence is fair. No purpose would have been served by a more severe penalty. Far more important than the severity of the penalty is the message to would be fraudsters going forward, and I think that message was heard loud and clear.
I hear you, but am with Dang on this. The loud and clear message sent is that masterminding a decade of election fixing gets you a slap on the wrist. I actually believe that making Pupie pay the statutory maximum, $250k, would have been a more effective deterent than the 3-month prison sentence.

It’s 3 months. That’s pretty good for over a decade of fixing elections by getting poor people to agree to break the law for $40.
