GrafixAvenger Blogspot submitted the above comment twice to New Jersey Globe's October 9th article, "DeFusco Fields New Ad". The first time was on October 10, and when it didn't appear I resubmitted it on October 11. It isn't there, again. So, I'm publishing it here.
THE BEST CONDEMNATION MONEY CAN ALLEGEDLY BUY
My comment raised legitimate questions about why the paper published a press release from the DeFusco campaign quoting the Chair of a political caucus who had donated to DeFusco's campaign and was the recipient of a fundraiser thrown by Councilman DeFusco without disclosing those facts in their article.
Had the paper done minimum due diligence to contact me- the blogger under attack- I would have provided that information. But no one bothered to contact me or ask me for comment prior to publication, because in my opinion, it was a straight-up hit piece intended to smear, bully and intimidate.
In other words, shouldn't the paper have disclosed that this "condemnation" with false and defamatory allegations of homophobia was supplied by a Defusco DONOR and RECIPIENT of Councilman DeFusco's fundraising?

MICHEAL DEFUSCO THROWS FUNDRAISER FOR CAUCUS WHO SUPPLIED "CONDEMNATION"
I still want to know how much money was raised for the caucus on March 27, 2017 because Michael DeFusco reported $23.4K in receipts on that same date.

They're embarrassed and too classless to admit it. It's just a political hit by political hacks.
ReplyDeleteAnother case of the cover-up being worse than the crime (though there's no crime).
If you acknowledge this relationship, your subsequent comments may be questioned. But they'll still stand.
If you don't acknowledge the relationship, the smell of quid pro quo becomes infinitely stronger.
That's the only smell remaining at this point.
Not embarrassed enough not to post his new campaign video as "news"!
DeleteAre they providing this service for all of Hoboken's ward campaigns? That's a real question.
