Pulpy Fiction

If Mike DeFusco's campaign mailers were a novel, the genre would be Science Fiction with a title like:

"PAC-Puppet: How it Came to Earth to Mass-Hypnotize Earthlings with Fantastical Dreamscapes (renderings) from Outer Space and Steal Credit for Other People's Work while Suckling Off Mysterious Cash-Engorged Teats"

Maybe that's a bit long.  Anyway, First Ward candidate Michael DeFusco's latest work of fiction was so brazen it prompted this response (sent to GA:)

"This has got to be one of the most outrageous pieces of self-promotional fiction EVER.

#1. He's standing in front of a rendering of the NJ Transit Terminal and plaza that, as a required improvement i.e. public giveback, is no long required under the proposed amended plan.

#2. He's taking credit for expansion of the Historic District. Are you kidding? He was the one that derailed adoption of the amendment at the 10/02 council meeting (even though he wasn't there). He has failed to convene a committee meeting to discuss the amendment even after the administration reached out on three separate occasions to schedule one, and the HPC commissioners offered to meet with the council to review. And, he's undermined the intent of the Master Plan by allowing Stevens to 'opt-out' of being in the historic district even though the properties are located on Castle Point and not in the University district.

#3. I want to know who is providing the renderings for him to promote 'his ideas'. I don't see any expenditure from his campaign to anyone for renderings and no in-kind contributions of such work. He certainly isn't doing them himself.

#4. His shoes untied: the perfect metaphor. He's un-tethered from reality... he sure isn't tied down by any ethics rules... or is it that he's coming unglued and untied at the same time..."

Campaign metaphor?

BUT REALLY... WHO'S PAYING?
High-quality renderings cost thousands each. Since July, Michael DeFusco has rolled out at least 3 new renderings: 77 Park, his Municipal Pool, and now Warrington Plaza.

Do you see disbursements for those renderings on DeFusco's 29-DAY PRE-ELECTION report?

  1. Remember Michael DeFusco can never be questioned or criticized for anything or he will claim to be a VICTIM.
