Hoboken plumbing problem: a new drip

The latest drip to drop-- according to an anonymous source who appears to 'know things" (though still rumor) is very interesting. That's because if my source is correct, the drip suggests that the Federal investigation into Hoboken election fraud may not be leapfrogging from 2013 to 2015.

So far, the U.S. Attorney has filed charges for election cycles in 2013 and 2015.  What is unverifiable is: what other election cycles are they investigating?

Here is what we know.

Frank Raia has not cooperated, nor has Dio Braxton, but it is known that others have.  Aside from Mike Holmes and Matt Calicchio, others have struck cooperation agreements with the government and have testified at Raia's trial. One of them, a so-called Raia captain, is Freddie Frazier.

Frazier has gotten less attention than other well-known cooperators and his Raia trial testimony was limited to his role in Hoboken's 2013 election. But he's known to have helped on at least one other Hoboken political campaign in a different election cycle; a D-2 form filed with the New Jersey law Enforcement Commission shows Fred Frazier was a 2014 campaign Treasurer.

What did Frazier testify to at Frank's trial?

John Heinis of Hudson County View reported:
And, Frazier is not the only one talking: from cooperating defendants to witnesses to Hoboken politicos who get "visited.*

On that note, my anonymous source who drips and drops (and has no love for Mike Holmes) told GA:
Short on details at the moment but I can confirm officially [Redacted] got visited and questioned. He has a lawyer. Funny after Holmes was there last week wont you say?
That's a new "redacted."

I asked if he had information on why sentencing has been pushed for everyone, including Braxton.
They are keeping everyone in the bullpen for now.
Nice metaphor!

If you asked me, wish the Feds would just bring it on already. In my opinion, alleged practitioners of  vote-buying think they are invincible. Letting another election cycle pass without moving on alleged corruption validates their belief.  My two cents!

    1. The Feds waited until after the election to bring Big Sting charges against Peter Cammarano.

I would venture a guess that they didn't want to be accused of interfering with the actual election process. They got their conviction and instead of a dirty Councilman/candidate they bagged a dirty Mayor.

[GA EDIT: a former councilman was incorrectly identified as running on "Team Roberts" and having gone to prison. That has been removed. Apologies to councilman falsely identified.]

    2. Mea culpa. Mea culpa.

The former "Team Roberts" Hoboken Councilman was Christopher Campos (4th Ward) who ended up in prison after he had been voted out of office .

      Apologies to the other guy.
