Fisher electioneers at City Hall, breaks her own ethics reform (PHOTO)

TODAY: Ethics reform sponsor Fisher violates her own ordinance by electioneering at City Hall

Just imagine what would happen if  City employees Jason Freeman or John Allen or Vijay Chaudhuri wore a Ravi Bhalla for Mayor t-shirt to work?

The sponsors of Hoboken's recent ethics reform (which prohibits political activities during work hours and at City Hall) would be apoplectic... they'd be spitting out press releases like machine gun fire, calling for their immediate dismissal.

So then, why does incumbent Second Ward candidate Councilwoman Fisher think it's okay to sashay into City Hall and attend a public meeting carrying  campaign paraphernalia?

Does someone feel a wee bit entitled, like her own law does not apply to her?

Fisher said verbatim during the ethics reform debate at the August 7th meeting, that councilpersons can "self-police" for their own ethics compliance.

Apparently not.

    1. Not cool. That's as bad as what that idiot Julian Castro said to Biden at the debate. Ageism, racism, body shaming, mockery over one's appearance, religion, conflating Sikhs with Arab Muslims, etc- that's fine on the dead blog, not mine. Thanks.

    2. Agreed. We can do better. We should do better. Comment about how she's flipped on ethics with DeFusco's ELEC reports and his outside benefactors. Comment about how little she's actually done to improve ethical standards in Hoboken politics. Heck, comment about how she believes she has a leg to stand on when she comes in to defend herself, only to look foolish just about every time because she's tone deaf with tunnel vision and selective memory. There's so much more material to go on...
