June's Raia verdict is getting further and further away in our city's rear view mirror. Local politicos seem to be going about their business without a care in the world. Candidates are cranking out press releases, campaigning as though the ongoing federal investigation is somebody else's problem. And maybe it is.
Or maybe not.
The rest of us Hoboken political junkies are waiting for the next shoe to drop. Will it be one shoe? Two shoes? A whole rack full?
Anyone who tells you they know what happens next is full of crap. Nobody does. However, among the constellation of folks involved or who know folks who are, some may have reasonable basis to believe where the investigation is heading. And that is the talk swirling below Hoboken's still surface. My anonymous friend seems to be one of those peeps. Here's what he shared today:
Hearing that [Redacted] is fucked and he knows it.
Hearing [Redacted] is waiting to bash ravi on showing support for [Redacted]and not running anyone in the 3rd.

I'm told from sources involved that they don't expect anything to happen to any council people before election day but that doesn't mean we won't see someone like [Redacted] or [Redacted] go down during the election.
[Redacted and Redacted] don't want to be associated with [Redacted] in case something goes down. They know he was visited and talked.
[Redacted] has a high priced attorney from Jersey City. [Attorney's name redacted]
Holmes is still cooperating and is in frequent contact with the powers that be.
I think [Redacted] and [Redacted] get in trouble but the question isn't if but when.
Let's just say [Redacted] is keeping his distance from Holmes. People have expressed they would rather be diagnosed with a life ending illness then talk or associate with Mike Holmes after what he did and how he cut a deal to get away with what he did.
All [Redacted] does is bitch about how this attorney is costing him money he doesn't have but anyone who knows [Redacted] knows how cheap he is and let it be known he has the money and then some.
I pray [Redacted] loses so bad and Ron is great but unfortunately won't beat [Redacted] if he runs. too much old still left in the 3rd.
Ravi is already getting flack by the numbest of nuts for not running anyone against Russo. The non-numb get it. Sometimes you don't have to do anything until the dust settles. You're more likely to get into trouble by predicting how it will settle and acting accordingly.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of numbest of nuts is DeFusco/ Fisher/ Giattino running anyone against Russo ?
ReplyDeleteI never hear anything after Al Sullivan did a passing mention about the guy hustling his parking/carwash app running .
Ron Bautista who is a declared independent candidate 3th Ward has been a a regular welcome attendee at many of Mayor Bhalla's slate campaign events.
