Well, that candidate didn't last long-- if my source is correct. Here's what he said:
Perry is out. They are supporting the young guy. Ramos is 100% behind the guy defusco put in the race.
The young guy is Nicola Maganuco, who kicked off his 5th ward campaign on a rooftop recently. Rumor was that Ruben was not crazy about this fellow, which is why he put Perry Belfiore in... so what changed his mind?
It's fairly obvious anyway that "the young guy" is getting back-up from the mean Sacco machine, judging from the fusillade of nasty comments toward 5th Ward candidate Phil Cohen on Hudson County View and in Horseshitville.
"The young guy" has no idea about the Hudson County shit-pile he's stepped in, nor do I suspect he would care. But, good for him- he showed up at last week's Hoboken Council meeting to speak during the public portion. I missed it, but folks told me it was... um... uh...
...did he say what I thought he said...?
"We saw myself running on weekend..." ??? Was he having an out-of-body experience?
ReplyDeleteOr multiple personality disorder? Astral projection? Typos on the cue cards?
Deletewhat happened to the dogs? did he leave the meeting after his tome? i hope he walked them before he left....
DeleteDeFusco recruited this guy? No wonder he sounds like a cheap knockoff of a cheap knockoff. The only way we get a candidate dumber than DeFusco is if that someone is so stupid that they don't get that most people think DeFusco is the slimiest dumbass to hit city politics this generation. A random homeless person would make a better candidate.
ReplyDeleteI think he comes off as fine in the video, putting the rock in there over a minor trip of the tongue is pettiness of Kurt proportions. It makes me sympathize of the guy because he's being belittled over nothing. I'd lose this version and just put up the real one.
ReplyDeleteLighten up, FAP! By all means, vote for him!
DeleteLook, he's a candidate for office. Let the public decide. Food for thought: eminent domain for UDD, losing UDD to NJ Transit, UDD bought by NYWW, Hoboken vs UDD... all major news stories for the past couple of years, and continuing. I'll bet they get the internet in NYC! What you call "pettiness"others may call insufficient knowledge or lack of material facts about the City of Hoboken to meet the bar of legislator. It's not that deep. Sure, maybe a slip of the tongue- maybe not- cause he did not correct himself. Let the public decide! I guess it was pettiness when SNL mocked Pres Ford as a klutz cause he tripped on Air Force One, or Tricky Dicky imitations "I am not a crook!" or calling Mitch McConnell "Moscow Mitch." Maybe Nicola will be Hoboken's "Dry Rock" Guy! Too bad, political satire will outlive all of us.
As for comparison with a guy who writes limericks about people's dead family pets, mocks their physical appearance, accuses them of murdering animals, and is generally mentally imbalanced, you've got that wrong.
