DeFusco's July ELEC: 87.6% of total receipts from PACs/UNIONS

Holy cow. Feel free to check my math, people; Mike DeFusco's and Ruben Ramos' July 15 Quarterly ELEC reports are posted below.

My math says that this quarter, 87.6% of the receipts received by Mike DeFusco for Hoboken City Council came from Unions and PACS.  His campaign filed a total of $19,522,84 received in contributions this Quarter; $17,100 were from the PACs/UNIONS as noted below.

If you look at his 2019 campaign to date- the aggregate percentage from this group of UNIONS/PACS ($28,300) falls as a proportion of total aggregate receipts ($68,087.68) to 41.6%.  That may not include other PACs/UNIONs that gave in other reporting periods.

Ruben Ramos' July ELEC tells a different story...

Only 19% of his Quarterly receipts came from PACs/UNIONS- see GA's math calculations and his ELEC report below.

One thing for the Ramos campaign to note: I believe there is an error on his "cumulative-to-date" receipts.  It looks like this election reporting picks up from his 2015 campaign filings, giving him a larger  balance (and expenditures) that are accurate for this election cycle. I would check that out. Campaign filings should begin at "zero" receipts plus money transfers from prior campaigns plus incoming receipts for that reporting period.

Note: since Ramos' total aggregate receipts amount seem to be screwy, GA left aggregates off the calculations.

'Nuff said.

  1. Some anon made a snarky pun about Kurb's (sp?) health scare which we have rightly characterized as worse than Pearl Harbor. That's the real story today, the worse-than-Pearl-Harbor joke. We won't reporting this piffle due it its being decidedly less bad than Pearl Harbor.

  4. Is the $9,400 that Frank Raia gave Michael DeFusco reflected in the totals ?

    1. Nope. Frank's donations were to the Defusco mayoral campaign and actually totaled $9,900, not $9,400. Take a look:

    2. Thanks. Any idea where the cash DeFusco gave away to blunt the bad PR after Raia's conviction came from ? It totaled about half of what he is reporting for the last quarter.

  5. So he gets rid of Yacco and brings in Eduardo's father. Like that's any better.

    1. You definitely can tell which candidates are the complete scumbags based on who is working on their campaign.

    2. Hanging out the FOR SALE sign ? Now that convicted voter fraud felon Frank Raia has exited his campaign, this is Michael DeFusco's latest example of bending to the shady traditions of the old guard politicos and their long history of self-serving often crooked agenda.

  7. The handwriting of the person who filled out this report seems to reveal some cognitive impairment, like the candidate himself.

If Tiffy, Mikey and Jenny can't even comply with ELEC laws, why would anyone believe they're capable of managing a city's budget?

    1. I believe Eduardo's dad is an elderly gentleman, so that may account for the handwriting. Perhaps he can type instead, or get help filling in the form. It is almost illegible. In Ruben's case, it looks like he uses a 4 - 6 point typewritten font size on his disbursements schedule, so you need a microscope to read.
