Would Hoboken City Clerk Jimmy Farina lie to you? (No, he would not.)
Ask him whether 6th Ward Councilwoman Jen Giattino picked up petitions for DeFusco's ward, Ramos' ward, and the 5th ward last Thursday. That was the day after Perry "The Hair" Belfiore spoke to Ruben Ramos about running in the 5th ward.
To all but the functionally brain-dead, this is a scheme to trigger run-off elections in those wards. Did you ever think you'd see Giattino, a solid good government councilwoman for 8 out of 10 years stoop this low?
Giattino is not being a responsible fiscal steward of taxpayer dollars-- run-off elections are costly. Giattino is trying to rig the election outcome for her Dark Side companions at the taxpayers' expense.
Wasn't Giattino's purpose of restoring run-off elections to have a candidate win with over 50%? So, why is she rigging a third candidate, to split the vote 3 ways and automatically trigger run-offs?
This is some Dark Side shit, people.

Since Sacco already has a slate: Giattino, Fisher, Ramos and DeFusco under the management of his PR firm, Vision Media, there is no reason for Giattino to have picked up petitions for wards 1 and 4. As for the 5th, her running-mate Ramos has green-lighted the Belfiore candidacy.
