A family-friendly event, bring your kids to swim in the pool
I know you've heard it: no-one can beat Ruben Ramos in the 4th ward, he's got a lock on it, he's got those permanent VBMs hanging out there, ripe for picking.
Well, folks. It'll take a village to beat Ruben Ramos. So Mayor Ravi Bhalla picked the BEST candidate on the metrics of intelligence, decency, kindness, humility and importantly: progressive reform politics. Those qualities are generally incompatible with being a politician. Lisa is not a politician.
Lisa is you. And me.
She is not taking big fat checks from Academy, she has not ignored a massive 13-story, block wide behemoth building being built by a developer-friend on the border of the 4th Ward and Jersey City, she has not ever been the beneficiary of massive VBM harvests in 2011 and 2015.
Lisa is not a natural politician, she is a natural person. Down-to-earth, humble. Lisa wants the 4th Ward to finally be represented by someone not looking for a payday or partnership with North Bergen Bosses Sacco and Muniz. She stepped up to run for every 4th Ward resident who wants an honest, ethical Council representative, who will look out for the well-being of 4th ward residents over profit-sharing with developer pals.
So, please people. If we don't come out to support Lisa, she is standing alone. Meet her, talk to her. Get to know your next Councilwoman (G-d willing!)
Shame on GIATTINO and FISHER for their 2-year alliance with The Shady Bunch. We can repudiate them in November.
