Drip, drip, drip...

Our Mile Square is still reeling from the Raia trial and conviction for election rigging.  Some folks are sleeping with one eye open, some are fairly bursting with schadenfreude.  And of course, talk.

GA was told from various "informed sources:"
  • Mike Holmes, first in, got full immunity. He's the only one.
  • [redacted #1] spent 5 hours in front of a grand jury, "spilling his guts"
  • The F.B.I. showed up at [redacted #2's] work place. Picked him up there unannounced for an interview.
  • A text from [redacted #1] read "[redacted #3] has payment for the vbms..."  This was regarding 2018's referendum to bring back run-offs.  Allegedly, the text has been turned over to the Feds.
  • (3) 4th ward "vbm ladies" went to the F.B.I. because "we're not going to jail for [redacted #5redacted #6, and redacted #1]"
  • An idiot posing as credentialed media called an attorney representing a trial witness. The attorney spotted the fraudster then traced the phone call back to a shit-filled barn.
  • Feds are "just getting started." They appear to be headed for Hoboken election rigging (paying for vbms) charges in 2015, 2017 and 2018 elections.
  • Persons close to the case believe that [redacted #7] may be an F.B.I. informant.
  •  [Redacted #8]'s "crew" allegedly gave out cell phones in exchange for votes. Allegedly, video showing this activity was turned over to the Feds.
Redacteds #1-8 are eight different  people.

(3) redacteds currently serve on the Hoboken City Council.

(2) redacteds ran unsuccessful Hoboken campaigns.

No, GA is not going to get into allegations involving named persons, but all you need to know is that this investigation is very much alive. When the Feds show up at your work place, they mean business.

Note, candidates for office cannot be indicted within 60 days of an election.  Count back 60 days from November 5, 2019.

  1. EIGHT

Eight is the infinity symbol. The Angel Number. The number of the Resurrection. Eight.

Effing hell. It's real hard to get past that number. And consider that it doesn't even include Calicchio, Holmes, Raia, Yacco, Dio - people you'd put in your top ten or twelve.

Just off the top of your head, make your list of, say, a dozen stalwarts of the Vote Procurement Industries.... And bet your ass you got eight right. Hell, you might even get there with ten. Or eight.

If they all went - or at least had the living hell scared out of them - that would shut it down the VPI for some time to come. No one would be in a mood to sell, and even if they were, who would want to buy? Feel like being met by FBI agents in front of your co-workers?

I have to say this is the most jaw-dropping bit of news in a long time.

And including 2018 is particularly tantalizing. There was one thing to vote on. Bringing back run-offs which would in turn enhance the value of vote buying. That election in which alleged "reformers" paid no note of untraceable PAC money drifting into town to promote runoffs. People who used to ask questions suddenly didn't. You learned a lot about them just then.

The one person I've been curious about lately is Giattino. Just to frame this properly - I have no doubts about Defusco and Ramos. None. And Tiffanie has shown herself to be a political animal first and a public servant a distant second, reminding one more of her 2nd ward predecessor every day.

But Giattino.... She was a different person before she got mixed up with this crowd. A real republican and real person. I think the election left her with a bitter taste. But she was never a hopeless narcissist like Fisher. I wonder if she's as comfortable with the Crazy Eights on her new "team". She never was before. Being angry after a bruising election will make you do some things. And she's done them. But will she really go full-Tiffanie and embrace vote buyers and winning at all costs?

    I like to doubt it.

  2. Hmmm... could be redacted no. 1 ratted out redacted no. 3 unless one or more third parties got the text and rattled each other out. No 3's going down if he really paid for votes to pass the run-offs question, cause it sounds like a couple rats are squealing to the grand jury.

    1. That would be a total Nixon move. Nixon won 48 states in 1972. He didn't need to break into the Watergate. But he did and that was the end of him.

The run-off referendum garnered 73% of the vote. Why buy VBMs? Ask Nixon. Haters gonna hate. Cheaters gonna cheat.

  3. Sounds like anyone in 2015 they need to indict will get indicted before the election for sure then. Five year statute of limitations, right? They can wait on the 2017 and 2018 elections folks until they flip a few more 2015 witnesses if they want.

    1. To be precise, the clock for the 5 year statute of limitations starts ticking on the date of the last "overt act" charged. Whatever that was. Pupie got nailed literally within days of his SOL's expiration for 2013.

    2. September 6th is the 60 day barrier to indictment. We're readying two versions of the corporate website for that day.

One, assuming no one got nailed, is a YUGE gloat-fest about how wrong and evil everyone is for ever questioning our giant stacks of vbms in the last few elections. Our website administrator has already pre-written dozen comments complimenting himself and slamming his doubters.

The other one is a best-of Beth Mason re-broadcast. A replay of a shining moment in the rapidly receding past where we were relevant and right about something.

To paraphrase the president, very good options on both sides.

  4. Which reminds me - make sure to keep reading the Ramos and Defusco press releases which are exclusively available on our corporate website! (Since no one else seems to want them.)

Collect 'em, trade 'em! They'll be collectors items when the inevitable happens later this year.
