Dark Side dirty work

Not fooling anybody.

FORCING RUNOFFS IN THE FIRST AND FOURTH WARDS
It's not Halloween, but close; instead of treats, Hoboken's getting tricks.

Yesterday Jen Giattino picked up petitions from City Hall for the 1st, 4th and 5th wards.  Jen is running with Michael DeFusco (First Ward) and Ruben Ramos (Fourth Ward) and Tiffanie Fisher (2nd ward) all under the management of Nick Sacco's PR firm.

So, why is Giattino pulling petitions for DeFusco and Ramos' wards?

THE TRICKS
Because, they need a third candidate in those wards to force a run-off And, those wards have been seeded with permanent vbms.

Another trick could be to run weak First and Fourth ward candidates with Fisher and Giattino to wash the Dark Side stink away and fool their constituents that they really aren't aiding and abetting VBM beneficiaries and pay-to-players.   If so, good luck with that.  Hoboken peeps aren't dumb.

Boy, this is just sad.  Why would Giattino do the Dark Side's dirty work?

NO TREATS- OR ELEC REPORTS
I would estimate the cost of public relations services Giattino and Fisher have recieved  so far, prior to July 15 (ELEC submission deadline) to be in the thousands- Vision Media is no schlock outfit, and they aren't cheap.  The councilwomen have been spending on their campaigns, so....

...where are their ELEC reports?

  1. The influx of VBMs is bad, which is now compounded by Gov. Murphy's 2018 law which requires anyone who received a mail-in ballot in the 2016 election (highest turnout year) to receive them for life, unless they specifically opt out of receiving them. This has the potential for major abuse....

    1. Exactly! Hoboken's network of VBM farmers have their names. Their problem will be to retrieve the votes now, and (allegedly) many will not fill out the ballot unless they are paid.

  2. The County Board of Elections has their names too, so if it comes to pass that the permanent VBM's all vote a certain way, then they and the feds will know that the corruption continues, even without the party pupie. And it's true, they're not likely to vote without payment, so if they sit this one out, who does that hurt, who does that help?

Apart from the chiacchierones in Columbian Towers who see him as their private Liberace and the eight old queens in Marine View who will turn out to all his little rant events, DeFuckup has very limited legitimate support, which is why he needs the county bosses.

No VBM's, no likely win in a runoff, what's a chooch to do?

  3. Which reminds me, for the very many of you who are surely looking, the latest press releases from your 1st and 4th ward favorites are gracing our corporate website right now!

It should come as no surprise since we have more Vision Media press releases than actual articles by a better than 2:1 margin these days. Articles requiring “journalistic effort” or really anything more than repeating our biases bring up the rear. No one seems interested in those. Least of all our “content partners” at Vision Media.

And please don’t be alarmed by our extra candidate petitions. Like all Good Government tickets, we’re maintaining a small (no more than 50%) hedge against possible indictment. Standard practice until we overthrow the Deep State!
