Mayor Ravi Bhalla responds to Raia GUILTY verdict

Shortly after a Newark jury found Hoboken Politico Frank Raia guilty of voter bribery charges, Hoboken Mayor Bhalla told InsiderNJ.com:

“Today’s guilty verdict is an affirmation that no one is above the law, and those that commit voter fraud will be exposed and brought to justice.

“Given the revelations exposed by the trial that additional criminal activity took place in 2015 and other election cycles, further investigation into voter fraud by law enforcement will help ensure that voter fraud is rooted out of Hoboken once and for all,” the mayor added. “It is long past time for a clean break from the corrupt politics of the past.”

Following the Raia verdict an enraged Good Goverment Trio demands immediate answers from serial vbm abusers Ramos and Defusco! “Good government is more important than political alliances!” they cry out in one voice.

    1. Oh, look who's back. You drunk? I will allow your drivel, that is- until you abuse your hostess which means you'll last here another ten seconds. As for your obsession, the F. B. I. investigation into Hoboken election rigging may lead to who did the terror flier, cause lying to the Feds is a CRIME.

  3. I'm with Dork Lard on this one.

New Jersey DETESTED Obama, so we can definitely run on that. The Garden State handed Obama humiliating 57-41 and 58-40 winning margins in 2008 and 2012. A total hate-fest! Dorky's political instincts are solid gold! And let’s remember that our coalition is better described as Democratish rather than Democratic. We’re even exploring using the more precise term DemoKasich, ie, the kind of democrat who is, say, anti social security, like 4th Place J's hero, John Kasich.

"Tiff-Tiffanie-Tiff-Tiffanie-Tiff-Tiff-MeMeMe!" Catchy, right? We're working on a campaign song that combines the charm of Disney classic with mommy's stupefying narcissism! Can’t miss!

And we've already got a solid platform that extends well beyond our brilliant anti-Obama strategy. Our polling tells us that incessant whining about Limes and Nixle message content is really striking a chord with our core demographic! Right up there with racism on our home page!

    But the centerpiece:

Advocating for our most vulnerable and long-standing residents to prevent displacement...

by insisting on slate-mates who promise to pay good money for their votes. Everyone talks about doing something for the working poor. But we’re putting our money where our mouth is! And we have a long, enviable track record of buying votes. Just ask the feds who are on us like white on rice. So it’s not just an election year gimmick!

But wait - it gets better - if you can even imagine that!

By using Mystery PAC Money (everyone's favorite kind, according to our data!) we were able to promote and re-institute run-offs. You know what that means for our "most vulnerable citizens"? It means our "advocacy" (via unsealed VBM's... repeat: unsealed… repeat: Unsealed!!!) - can occur in not just one but potentially two elections this fall! How's that for [insert pablum from Tiff's latest insufferable mailing]!

And what about that flyer? Well, I may not be in Law Enforcement, but it seems pretty obvious that your most likely suspect is the one who bought the fewest votes. Makes sense, right? How can you trust a guy who won’t even pay his fellow citizens to vote? Heartless bastard!

325 - Defusco (aided by the not as-yet incarcerated team of Raia and Yacco)
506 – Romano (nothing to see here...)
195 – Bhalla (guilty as charged!)

Case closed! If you can’t trust a guy to buy votes, how can you trust him not to make flyers calling himself a terrorist? Am I right or am I right?

    1. Whoooopsie! Just the tiniest error in going from the draft template to publication.

      Where it says --

How's that for [insert pablum from Tiff's latest insufferable mailing]!

      It should read --

How's that for [insert wisdom from Tiff's latest inspirational mailing]!

It's just a note to myself to make sure I take the verbiage from one of Tiffanie's always inspiring, never over-wrought or mind-numbingly tedious PSAs

So please read it that way. More voices are yadda yadda yadda....
