APPROVED e-Scooter (LIME) resolution DOCUMENTS

More of the same.  And why the folks who supported these crybabies in 2015 can see why change is need on Hoboken City Council.

Several Council members unleashed a torrent of tweets, constituent emails and press releases immediately followed the e-Scooter launch to (1) alarm the public with the false impression that the e-Scooter program  has brought danger and chaos to Hoboken streets, (2) drop the blame for this imaginary crisis on the Mayor.

I am not sure if Tiffanie Fisher, Michael DeFusco or Peter Cunningham think the public is too stupid to understand the resolution approving the LIME contract, or to read the attachments.

Here is the amended LIME resolution of approval that passed unanimously on May 1, 2019.

Below is one of the attachments, a letter by Hoboken Director of Parking and Transportation Ryan Sharpe, with useful information to the public about how the e-Scooter 6-month Pilot Program is intended to work.

The portion about public education are the paragraphs I've encircled in red on page two.   The rollout of the program: "campaigns that will occur through-out the 6-month electric scooter trial period..." is described within.  All of this approved by the council, who after 24 hours, hit the press with a false narrative to frighten the public, and blame the mayor.

So, now you know why they all have gotta go.  The past two years of political gamesmanship-- constant dumping on City Hall, attacks on the mayor's staff--- have cost the city time, and are a major distraction.   We need a council to work, not tweet.

  1. While it was a bit surprising at first to see the number of scooters, I have not witnessed anything as dire as the press releases from the two crybabies describe. Unfortunate that they can never say anything positive.

What I have witnessed in town is frequent stroller incidents where mothers/fathers/nannies push the stroller out in front of them at a crossing out of no where and almost get hit by a car that can't see them. I have never understood why any adult would put their young charge in such harm's way. The correct way to cross an intersection that does not have a crossing light is to put the adult on the oncoming traffic side of the stroller and escort the stroller across the street. It is not okay to just push the child out into the street in front of you. Never. That would be a worthwhile tweet or press release.
