Mayor Bhalla puts "STOP WORK" Order on UDD site

Hoboken Construction Code Official Mario Patruno and Mayor Bhalla post "Stop Work Order" at UDD site.

Props to Hoboken Mayor Ravi Bhalla and his Administration for taking quick action.

Late yesterday, when NY Waterway ferries were spotted at the former Union Dry Dock (UDD) site-- BOOM!  The City responded immediately. The Mayor had Hoboken Construction Official Mario Patruno, put a "STOP WORK" Order on the site, getting Governor Murphy's Office to assure cooperation from NY Waterway.

The "Stop Work" will likely remain while the City negotiates with Governor Murphy, in an ongoing effort to preserve the UDD site for Hoboken's contiguous waterfront walkway and public use.  Stay tuned.

In the meantime, 2nd Ward Councilwoman Tiffanie Fisher and her majority coalition registered outrage at the mayor in a press release soon-to-be published by media suckers. The majority of five (sometimes six) felt the mayor's behavior was so unacceptable they audibly winced, threw up, and were plagued by uncontrollable facial tics-- one had to be rushed to Hoboken's Emergency Drama Clinic.

In a letter to constituents, Fisher wrote:  "I have reached out to the mayor and business administrator on this (no response yet), have sponsored a resolution requesting an end to this practice that will be voted on next week, and will be submitting a letter today from six of nine council members."

She went on to thank constituents for the feedback she had received.

"I appreciate the feedback that several of you (and others) sent to me about your frustration with the mayor.  I encourage more of you to do so and to come to the City Council meeting to let the entire council know how right I am, but if you disagree or express dissatisfaction with me, I will sic my unhinged horse-blogger on you."

Fisher attached a sample of the constituent feedback she has received:
