Hoboken ELECTION DAY... let's VOTE!

Call me a nerd, I LOVE to vote!  Love it!  I  could vote everyday!  Twice a day!  Unfortunately this is it, people.  Now or never... it's showtime.  Polls are open until 8PM.  Happy voting!

These were my picks (and why):
________

HOBOKEN BOARD OF EDUCATION

Folks, do NOT bullet vote.  Pick three school board candidates. I  urge you to vote for Tom Kluepfel (1), Malani Cademartori (3) and McGuirk (4).

The FOLLY of bullet voting is clear by a look back to the 2010 school board election, when Rose Markle edged out John Madigan by 85 votes.   Remember???

"After Tuesday night, Markle held a 66-vote lead over Madigan, 1,322 to 1,256. With the plus-13 in the additional votes found at the recount, she extended her lead over Madigan to 79 votes. When the 48 provisional votes were counted today, Markle picked up another six votes on Madigan (16-10, total), said Hudson County Board of Elections Clerk Mike Harper, bringing the total to 1,338 to 1,266. When factored in with the votes revealed by the petition, those numbers brought Markle's total unofficial margin of victory to 85 votes, 1,363 to 1,278."

EVERY VOTE MATTERS. REFORM HAS ALWAYS KICKED AS ON THE MACHINES.

HOW COULD RESPONSIBLE PEOPLE ENDORSE BULLET VOTING?  Especially Hoboken elected officials!  Elected officials who do not recommend voting for the THREE BEST candidates, will elect John Madigan.
  • Tiffanie Fisher endorsed only Ailene and Tom (according to a Board Trustee) because she didn't meet Malani.  Really? Malani's biography has been online for weeks. I endorse Ailene weeks before I had the pleasure of meeting her. I did my homework. I never met Barack Obama, but I voted for him twice.
  • Peter Cunningham endorsed bullet voting. Ailene only. Really Peter?  Maybe if you used the district schools you would have thought better.
Sadly, GA concludes that animus is driving this decision, not thoughtful analysis or common sense or review of machine voting margins of victory.  Yes, Madigan got 3rd place on the machines in 2015. But it was CLOSE.  And, turnout is big this cycle. YUGE.   WE CAN DO IT.

Sorry friends, just keeping it real. It's a Pyrrhic victory if Ailene and Madigan get in because of bullet voting, and Malani or Tom do not.    It's called "cutting off your nose to spit your face."

VOTE 1-3-4
________

NEW JERSEY SENATOR

Read previous posts.  Unless you've succumbed to FOX CHANNEL mass-hypnosis, you get it. You get that Bob Menendez has been a bad boy, but a GREAT legislator. I kid you not...

I ask my progressive friends, and/or Dems on the fence to peruse Bob Mendendez' vast legislative record.  If you elect a newbie, he goes to the back of the line and scrambles for committee assignments. Bob Menendez' 12 years in the Senate, and hard work has gotten him PLUM committee assignments and RANKING:

Menendez is a ranking member on theses committees:

  • Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs,
  • Finance and
  • Foreign Relations

Menendez also serves on the following subcommittees:

  • Subcommittee on Housing, Transportation, and Community Development (Chairman)
  • Subcommittee on Financial Institutions and Consumer Protection
  • Subcommittee on Securities, Insurance, and Investment
  • Subcommittee on Health Care
  • Subcommittee on Taxation, IRS Oversight, and Long-Term Growth
  • Subcommittee on International Trade, Customs, and Global Competitiveness

Menendez' seniority gives New Jersey a VOICE.  I remind you, he will support the Mueller investigation, continue fighting for affordable healthcare, and if anyone will fight to reverse  Trumps horrible tax cuts that capped deductions for property taxes costing NJ residents millions- he will.  Most urgently, Menendez will restore checks and balances on the Orange Maniac.

PLEASE VOTE FOR BOB MENENDEZ AND ALBIO SIRES.

MUNICIPAL BALLOT QUESTION NO. 1

VOTE NO!  Did 58% of the electorate get it wrong in 2012? No. Did Giattino and Cunningham get it wrong when they collected signatures for the petitions in 2012?

Did these people get it wrong when they signed the Runoff Petition in 2012?

I could go on and one about the City Council SOUR GRAPE SORE LOSERS who have flip-flopped on Reform to support low turn-out elections during the Holiday season that will be flooded with dark money.

The People will not forget.

Was 33% of the electorate a perfect victory?  Out of 6 candidates, 2 splitting a Reform vote (never greater than 47%) it wasn't bad. Certainly, every candidate in the race knew it was possible. The sore losers and their council allies only began weeping and wailing after they got less than 33% of the popular vote.  How about we look at it another way?

  • 71%  of Hoboken voters rejected DeFusco.
  • 82% of Hoboken  voters rejected Romano
  • 84% of Hoboken voters rejected Giattino

In other words, sore losers DeFusco/ Ramos and Giattino/Fisher/Cunningham who all would have accepted a plurality of the LARGEST TURNOUT ELECTION in Hoboken, want elections where a 40% drop in participation might give them a chance.  Ramos always supported runoffs, there's no flip-flop. But these alleged Reformers?

Its hard to beat the dark money "New Jersey Democracy in Action" being pumped into this election cycle. GA believes that the Muni Ballot Question will pass.  And that is a shame.

Because, as GA has stated, ow-turnout run-off elections are the Best Democracy Money can Buy.

Vote "NO" on Municipal Question 1

Okay now go vote! And please send me poll reports at grafixavenger666@gmail.com.
