Will Ruben "clear up" his $8,200 P2P violation?

It's funny to see the hysteria over Terry Castellano's decision to club Mike DeFusco in the next First Ward election!

That's kinda like calling the Fire Department for a guy across the street when your own house is burning around you.

Oh, GA is all for the Castellano run. Ever see an hourglass drain? That's what's going to happen to DeFusco's OG base, a base that would not vote for a Reform candidate no matter who they were.  Isn't that obvious?

Newsflash: GA's confirmed (from the Mayor's Office) that Terry Castellano will NOT be running on the Bhalla slate.

Anyway, peeps. More of what you will only read here is that on 11/ 07/17 Ramos for Council (2019) accepted an $8,200 PAC contribution in violation of Hoboken's Pay-to-Play ordinance. Yep, Ramos for Council reported the violation on his February 6, 2018 ELEC report- see below:

And... one day later on 11/o8/17, $7,200 washed out to "Pre-GOTV Canvassing operation."   WHOOSH!

Whose "Pre- GOTV canvassing Operation" did that loot wash through for? Don't ask Happy the Corruption Horse-- he won't tell you!

So, here is my question.  The next ELEC report due is on July 15, 2018...

Will Ramos for Council 'clear up' this egregious Pay-to-Play violation on his next ELEC?

We should expect to see Ramos for Council refund the $7,900 excess contribution back to the NRCC. Will he?

I certainly hope his new friends on the Council influence him to obey Hoboken's campaign finance law.

  1. Which dumbass thought Castellano would run with Bhalla? She’s a lot closer to Defusco issue by issue. But she is just anti new Hoboken. That includes Defusco. She resents him more for encroaching on her territory by getting old guard votes.

    1. Anyone know which entity is responsible for enforcing fines and penalties on candidates for pay 2 play violations and when they will get around to it?

    2. I believe that entity to be the (understaffed) Election Law Enforcement Commission. There have to be other avenues- the P2P ordinance suggests citizens can sue the candidates who do not refund the excessive contributions. I'll look into it further.

    3. Thanks in advance for looking into this. If any citizen can sue, that would have to include any and all of Ramos's and DeFusco's opponents. Shit's gonna get interesting...
