MEET Mikie Sherrill (for Congress) in Hoboken next Tuesday!

A shout-out to all you good Hoboken Dems who believe its a moral imperative to take back the House from the Trumpublicans...

Mikie Sherrill from New Jersey's 11th District is a superbly qualified Dem Candidate running for Congress in a 'soft' Republican district... she can do this people.  She can flip that seat.  But not without our help.

That's why Mikie is coming to Hoboken next Tuesday night; to collect some generous donations (hint, hint) and talk to us about what we want her to do in Congress once she's elected.

Mikie's Republican opponent was Trump-succubus (incumbent) Rodney Frelinghuysen-- until he withdrew last January.  Like many House Republicans who've thrown in the towel, Frelinghuysen's record of polishing Trump's hiney put his re-election chances in doubt. Sad.

So please, people. Come out for Mikie on Tuesday like we did for Andy Kim.

Kim and Sherrill are two courageous newbie politicians who cannot stand how the Trumpublicans have enabled the Putin-luvin' Orange Caligula to wreck our democratic institutions of government, alienate our closest allies, take a dump on NATO, swap spit with Vlad,  impose  idiotic trade tariffs that hurt our farmers, businesses and consumers, and worst of all, have forgotten what "checks and balances" mean.

By the way, the Antique Loft is a beautiful venue.  Imagine getting sloppy drunk with the sweeping Manhattan panorama behind you!

Oh, GA kids about the "sloppy drunk" part.  Maybe. Anyway, please read about Mikie and for sure you will want to meet this fantastic Democrat (and help her flip a red seat)!

ABOUT MIKIE SHERRILL

As a Naval Academy graduate, a Navy helicopter pilot, and a federal prosecutor, Mikie Sherrill has a record of getting things done. Mikie is running to bring new leadership to Congress at a time when we need our leaders to come together to solve challenges and create opportunities for the people of New Jersey.

After graduating from the United States Naval Academy in 1994, Mikie spent almost 10 years on active duty in the United States Navy. She flew missions throughout Europe and the Middle East as a Sea King helicopter pilot. Mikie worked on the Battle Watch Floor in the European Theater during the Iraq invasion, and served as a Flag Aide to the Deputy Commander in Chief of the U.S. Atlantic Fleet. She also served as a Russian policy officer and worked on the implementation of our nuclear treaty obligations and oversaw the relationship between the U.S. Navy and Russian Federation Navy.

After leaving the Navy in 2003, Mikie attended law school, earning a degree from Georgetown University. She worked as a lawyer and eventually joined the U.S. Attorney’s Office in New Jersey. As an Outreach and Re-entry Coordinator, Mikie developed programs to help prevent crime in the community. These programs developed trust between law enforcement and the communities they serve, and helped people leaving prison to gain employment, housing, and education in order to restart their lives. As an Assistant U.S. Attorney, Mikie worked to keep illegal guns off our streets and keep our communities safe. She prosecuted federal cases and advised law enforcement on investigations.

Mikie has a Bachelor’s degree from the United States Naval Academy, a Master’s degree in Global History from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a Law Degree from Georgetown University.

Mikie and her husband Jason, a fellow Naval Academy graduate, live in Montclair, New Jersey, where they are raising their four children ages 12, 11, 8, and 6. Mikie coached her daughter’s lacrosse team and managed her son’s soccer team.
