Awww... isn't that adorable?
Lil' Mike and Fulop-opponent, JC Councilman James Solomon are co-hosting a fundraiser for NJ Dem District-3 congressional candidate, Andy Kim, and a Dem Congressional candidate from Minnesota, Dan Feehan... nice, right?
Kim and Feehan are wonderful candidates, we need them to win.
Oh, Lil' Mike's fundraiser is (coincidentally) on the same night at the same time as the Stack- (Amy) DeGise showdown at Kearny High School--the place no one alive has ever heard of.
Talk about carrying Sacco's water! Let me remind you folks, Mike DeFusco, is pulling out all stops for the re-election of Tom DeGise. He, and others on Hoboken City Council have thrown in with the people who underwrite patronage and spending sprees (like the empty golf course) on the backs of Hoboken taxpayers!
ANYONE who supports the reign of looting and pillaging Hoboken taxpayers does not deserve re-election.
Whose fault is it that Hoboken residents have been systematically tapped like the County's ATM ?
Is anyone surprised by the little weasel's antics? It used to be said ABC (Anybody But Castellano). I am not so sure now.
ReplyDeleteFirst question to both Amy DeGise and Brian Stack should be what plan do they have in place for the County (if their Executive is elected in a year), or what leverage will they use statewide as Democratic county chairperson, to ameliorate Hoboken's potential reduction in school funding aid under Steve Sweeney's education legislation that is at the center of the budget standoff. (Jersey City gets it worse). Not sure if these number are accurate, but they are the only numbers I have seen so far. https://patch.com/new-jersey/tomsriver/possible-shutdown-looms-100-nj-school-districts-could-lose-aid My guess is nothing by either, but considering our payout to the County, it would be nice if there were some assistance or pressure so that our taxes do not increase further to make up for the decrease in funding.
ReplyDeleteAnd as for Kearny High School, for those committee people voting, I highly recommend nearby Red, White & Que Smokehouse for post vote (or pre-vote) food. Best bbq in the state and Veteran owned. Argyle Fish & Chips isn't bad either for Scottish. If you can't get a ride, check to see if Katia still has the SUV gassed up. ; o ) (sorry, the Katia SUV/"Shame on You" saga is still one of my favorite GA posts of all time).
Thank you, Kevin!
DeleteGood question, Kevin. Stack is considered one of Sweeney's closest allies, so you would think that he'd have some leverage. Sweeney also wants to run for Governor in 3 years, and will expect the hudco line from Stack in a dem primary. Next Tuesday should be interesting....
DeleteHey Kevin, did you mean this 2011 post: Stack Disgusted By Ex-Wife ?
DeleteFor some reason, I thought you were referring to the (Katya) statue controversy in Jersey City. Yeah, Stack was a BAD BOY and got busted, then blamed it on The (ex) Wife! But, great fodder for satire. Listen, he is our SENATOR and we will work with him for the best interest of Hoboken.
That's the one. I remembered her when she was Hoboken's director of revenue under (I think) Roberts and left to head up Union City's Daycare Program after an extensive search of qualified applicants. (I think she left before the quarters fiasco). The post always made me laugh and is a synopsis of how you explain Hudson County to outsiders. And as the grandson of a Pole who settled in Bayonne, I do not confuse Katyn with Katia. My babcia would kill me.
DeleteIf DeFusco is getting behind DeGise, doesn't that mean he'll find himself in company of Stick Romano? Pass the popcorn. Shit's about to get real.
ReplyDeleteSo basically DeFusco is backing the people who are responsible for and benefit most from the massive increase in county taxes here in Hoboken. Nice job Mike. Thanks for having the backs of the taxpayers in town.......NOT!
