Ha! Thanks, Augie

GA was tickled find a link to this blog in today's Political Insider column-- hands down the best coverage of HudCo's latest pissing match.

Know why I love Augie?  His vivisection of giant HudCo egos and their shady backroom practices is the best; so I can forgive him for treating Hoboken like HudCo'HudCo's crazy aunt locked in the attic.  Actually, we are...  but c'mon, that attic is hot.

Yes, Hoboken is a loony bin.  Old Guard politicos are weirdly incestuous, swapping loyalties like the rest of us change underwear. Who is Pupie 'with' now?  What about Russo? Is he 'with' Ramos or Romano?  Who's Romano 'with' (today)?

Then there's that new Reform splinter faction.

United under Dawn Zimmer, Hoboken Reform split with the candidacy of Jen Giattino after she was not the one hand-picked by Zimmer and in my opinion, treated rather shabbily. Still, no excuse to roll the dice with the future of Hoboken.  Giattino's humiliating defeat on November 7, 2017 led to a crossroads: eat humble pie or go kamikaze on the winner,  Ravi Bhalla.  And so, that splinter Reform group-- in partnership with Old Guard Councilmen Mike DeFusco and Ruben Ramos-- went kamikaze on Mayor Bhalla.  You see going kamikaze that worked out for the Japanese pilots?  It won't end well either for the traitors who buttress North Bergen's Nick Sacco's ambition to tap Hoboken like a beer keg.  What the hell is wrong with them? They despise Bhalla even more than they love Hoboken?

And so, The Mile Square continues to live up to it's rep as HudCo's Nut Hatch. But oh, what fertile ground for bloggers.

Anyway, thanks for the nod, Augie!

P.S. You are not allowed to retire. Yes, folks--enjoy the Augster while you can.
