Today, hMAG reminds us that it's been six months (give or take a few hours) since that flier rocked Hoboken's mayoral election and became international news.
As a local political story, hMAG revisits the unsolved whodunit; one that's spawned suspicion, mistrust, real (and faux) outrage, conspiracy theories and attempts to frame the innocent, amongst Hoboken's warring political factions.
GA became part of the story as the first media entity to report the flier drop and publish the photograph- a photo that went viral. hMAG asked me what I thought about that experience. My response (which didn't make the story): "Its hard to be shocked at events going viral via social media when our president conducts foreign policy on Twitter. This is the age we live in."
Ain't it the truth?
Anyway, hMAG did a great job; even-handed as always. Hopefully, by the 1-year flier-versary the whodunit will be a nowweknowhodunit.
