HOBOKEN STUDENTS RALLY FOR GUNSENSE LAWS
Yesterday members of the new gun-sense advocacy group, Hudson County Chapter of Students Demand Action rallied at City Hall to mark the 19th anniversary of the Columbine shooting. Along with kids from our local schools, several media outlets were there to film.
Surprisingly, the event was sparsely attended by Hoboken elected officials. Aside from Assemblywoman Annette Chaparro and Hudson County Moms Demand Action organizer Emily Jabbour, none attended though all were invited.
So, for half an hour, kids from Hoboken High School, Elysian Charter and Hoboken Charter addressed the crowd, as well as a Hoboken Charter School teacher, a Jersey City student organizer, then (emcee) Mayor Bhalla and Emily Jabbour.

Hoboken officials Mayor Bhalla, Freeholder 'Stick' Romano, Assemblywoman Chaparro, Councilwomen Emily Jabbour and Tiffanie Fisher were there with the waterfront activists and a "BIG"crowd (hundreds) including kids. Hudson County View was there, so more about the rally will be online soon.

DeleteHobokenedOut, stick to medicine because when you talk politics, it's gibberish. Calling the COS "pay to play" Allen is defamation- violating P2P is a crime. Now, I can prove that your partner has violated P2P- in fact I have on this website. It's all on his ELECs. Tiffanie Fisher filed a P2P complaint against him with the Election Law Enforcement Commission, as well. The mayor's COS has NEVER violated P2P law, so you've libeled an innocent person.
DeleteSure, I thanked those 2 public servants. Anyone can collect a salary. Going above and beyond to do an excellent job for Hoboken deserves thanks. If you think all public hires in Hoboken's past have been great, you haven't paid attention. So, yes I am thankful for the hires Allen and Freeman. I don't know why your partner craps all over them in a petty, nasty manner, but then he has a reputation for treating city workers like crap. Actually, he treats fellow Planning board members like crap (ask one) and is likewise condescending to several council members. You should also tell him to stop whispering in Falco's ear during meetings, like he's in 5th grade. I am sure she doesn't need his help or advice. In fact, she would be better off without it.
Oh did Tiff finally figure out her constituents don't want a gas station for boats in her ward? About frigging time.
