A GA Q-Tipster has confirmed that Hoboken City Council President Ruben is calling Hoboken Democratic committee persons to give them this message:
"STAY HOME TONIGHT!"
Yes, Ramos is acting on behalf of Councilwoman Tiffanie Fisher to deprive tonight's meeting of the 39-person quorum required for a vote. The vote: whether or not to rescind her election as Dem Committee Chair!
TROUBLEMAKER
If you believe that Ramos gives a rat's ass about Fisher, think again.
Ramos has thrown his support to County Executive Tom DeGise, (Bhalla, Fulop, and Stack oppose DeGise); Ramos is 'with' the anti-Stack North Bergen crew that has been so generous to Mike DeFusco, and recently to Jen Giattino (the 'free' Ryglicki opinion). Ramos would like nothing more than to foment division among the Hoboken Dems, peel support from Brian Stack and earn brownie points from his North Bergen pals. Further, Ramos sees Fisher is an irritant for Bhalla Democrats on the committee, another reason to keep her there.
It is unclear whether or not Fisher asked for Ramos' help.
Let's see how much muscle Ruben Ramos has on the committee. Stay tuned.
He is a moron. Even if he succeeds in preventing enough people from showing up this time, how long does he think that will last? A week? Two? As soon as they get a quorum there will be a vote - and she will likely be gone.
