Ten weeks into the Bhalla administration, and it's much worse than we thought. Not just his "of counsel" position, but the day-to-day atrocities he commits here in Hoboken on a 24/7 basis as a part-time mayor.
This is what happens when you elect an Un-Electable and make him do math! The wretchedness is piling up. The following Litany of Scandal, as told in pictures, is the tip of a sordid iceberg!
#1-- Mayor stuffs kids under desk after he makes it snow.
#2-- Mayor fills Hoboken pothole with candy (Twizzler Nibs)
#3-- Mayor takes tiny hostages for Cat in Hat reading. Uses funny voices!!! Holds book in (sneaky) left hand. (Connors School)
#4-- Mayor sends body-double to downtown Hoboken fire emergency, saying "If Councilmen Mike DeFusco and Ruben Ramos can sleep through a disaster on the border of their wards, why can't I?" Body-double stays all night to ensure that displaced residents have a place to sleep.
#7-- Mayor at scene of Sunday afternoon fire in 6th ward. Wastes time making sure residents are safe.
#8-- Mayor mooches Valentines Day breakfast from Hoboken seniors! Sausage filcher!
#9-- Mayor tells 250 police that Leprecons are people, too.
#10-- Part-time gallivanting Mayor leaves Hoboken to gallivant in the New Jersey State House where he successfully lobbies against NJ Transit's purchase of prime Hoboken waterfront property (Union Dry Dock site)! Gallivanting Bhalla and his crew of gallivanting gallivanters (Councilpersons, Assemblywoman Chaparro, residents) share great victory together with their part-time Gallivanter-in-Chief, Mayor Bhalla. Gallivanter! Part-timer! Slacker! Loafer!
Smart post and satire. The do nothings (other than politic) on the City Council must be smarting.
ReplyDeleteit's become clear that this who voted for and supported mayor bhalla are the positive force in town focused on all the current and potential good that's happening, and team giafusco are the narrow-minded, perpetually negative debbie downers who exist to complain, obstruct, settle scores and sulk. it's sad how their narcissism is holding hoboken back from achieving its full potential, but i believe in karma and their day of reckoning will come.
ReplyDeleteExcellent reporting for a change!
ReplyDeleteWe're having a meeting tomorrow to discuss the correct proportions of "scandal-plagued" and "non-collaborative" to use in our hourly press releases.
You people just never appreciate the amount of planning that goes into our hand-wringing. It's hurtful.
