GA was searching the Council meeting video for Hoboken Police Chief Ken Ferrante (he broke some news that night) when I discovered a fascinating one-minute exchange.
It appears that Councilman Jim Doyle wandered too far out of his lane during "New Business" and got busted for trespassing. In short, Doyle announced there was a public meeting for the Master Plan reexamination at Wallace on Thursday, February 22, and that it would be noticed, when he was interrupted by Council VP Giattino.
"I just said that, too!"
"Pardon?" Jim replied.
"I said make sure it's noticed...." Giattino repeated, " I don't think it should be done by you though."
"I think I've demonstrated an ability to do it effectively..."
"I don't think its your responsibility..."
Oh, brother...
What was the point of that? Does the public care whose job it is (or isn't) to notice a meeting, and why interrupt him just to throw her weight around? It looked petty, rude. Here's the clip:

Suggestion: Install bumpers on both sides of Jim (and Emily's) seats- like the ones at the kiddie bowling alley*. Should they veer off their lane (such as when providing useful information to the public that offends the delicate egos of a colleague) they'll bounce right back.
Sorry for Jim and Emily, adults surrounded by babies. Keep the faith.

DeleteSounds to me like Dull (sp?) got caught "weaponizing" the meeting announcement! Princess Jen only reacted harshly because of the attempted "weaponization." What is she supposed to do when someone starts "weaponizing"? Just sit there???

Don't worry Jen - we are still going to give you and your co-conspirators for every pro-developer move the ZBA and CC makes, not to mention every election stolen through the use of VBMs in a runoff. So it really doesn't matter who tells us about some meeting. You are permanently on the sh1t list.
ReplyDeletewait - weren't they all in a frenzy since some other meeting wasn't announced which wasn't suppose to be announced in the first place but then they were mad they weren't informed about the meeting they couldn't attend?
