Christie's kindness to Beth Mason

Christie screws Hoboken, again.

And you thought Governor Christie's (only) parting-gift to Beth Mason was a seat on the Hoboken Housing Authority?

Guess again!

John Heinis has reported that the Christie administration has revived a complaint filed in May 2010 by Dark Side political operative Perry "The Hair" Belfiore against then-Councilman Ravi Bhalla.

THE HAIRY COMPLAINT
The central allegation of "The Hair's" complaint: on February 17, 2010, Councilman Bhalla voted on a legal contract for attorney Paul Condon, who shared office space with him-- after Bhalla had vetted the issue with Corporation Council.

Well, the hairy complaint was brushed off in 2014 by an administrative law Judge, got shampooed  by Christie's Local Finance Board, and in June 2016, the Appellate washed it out with no further rights of Appeal.  The Local Finance Board had 45 days to rinse and repeat but chose to cut it instead.

From a legal perspective, the hairy complaint got blow-dried.

Hence, the revival of this time-barred (dead) complaint is an effort to stain Bhalla's brand new mayoralty with old dirt.

OLD DIRT
The Hair's complaint was filed amidst a political operation to publicize the same allegations against Bhalla; the political smear campaign was executed by Beth Mason political operatives, as shown in dozens of Bajardi v Pincus discovery emails.

The emails are too numerous to publish.  Just this sampling shows Beth Mason's media blitzkrieg against Bhalla, such as the one below; her media consultant Phil Swibinski issued a press release calling for a "state investigation" of Bhalla- Sound familiar?

The network of Mason operatives shared materials with Hoboken411 ghostwriter Lane Bajardi and Hoboken411's Perry Klaussen, who then churned out screeds echoing the allegations filed in "The Hair" complaint.

Folks, there is too much, but you get the idea. Don't you?  Now these 7 year old allegations, the subject of Mason's 2010 anti-Bhalla jihad,  are back.

So...

It is no surprise hat this turd has floated back up to the surface with Beth Mason's appointment to the HHA.

It seems to me that BOTH are "gifts" to Mason from the Christie administration.  Were these "favors" requested by the same person?

If I'm correct, then this swing at Mayor Bhalla is only the beginning.  She's ba-a-a-a-ck...

    1. Ha! If Mason is helping Belfiore well, that puts her on the SAME team as Ramos, DeFusco, Soares, Giattino, Fisher, Cunningham and Chief Crazy Horse!

  2. I could see Beth working her way back into the political mix now that Tiff, Jen and Peter have ditched the principles that forced Beth to retire in the first place. There's a lot for her to like these days. Defusco is a total "develop or die" guy. The merger with Ramos, Belfiore, Carmelo, all those dirt-bags Beth could never quite get a winning coalition with. It's finally there, not the way she planned it, but just the way she likes it.

She can buy a bunch of votes on the runoff referendum to help bring back the era of bought elections that everyone is as committed to lying about the same way Beth always was. That'll make her a player again.
