Leaving aside the public policy arguments against a December runoff that I personally find as compelling today as I did in 2012, it would would be politically advantageous only for Mike Russo and Ruben Ramos. It's a really bad idea for DeFusco, Fisher, Cunningham and Giattino - all of whom would likely be dooming themselves in 2019, clearing the field for a Ramos or Russo mayoral candidacy in 2021.
ReplyDeleteSmart move for Russo and Ramos. For DeFusco and the "resistance" gang - not so much. Maybe they'll take the opportunity afforded them by Ravi's veto to think it through.

And MSV says voter fraud is not a problem. Stick a fork in it. Never, ever, ever, ever thought I would see the day.
