I took it as kind of a reality check. The people who voted for this measure are morons and at least a couple actively pushed to change elections to November. And now they don't like it?
No, what they don't like is who won and this is all about political payback.
Assuming this gets passed again in January, it will not again fly under the radar especially amount the voters Fisher, Giattino and Cunningham consider their bases, who voted pretty much unanimously to eliminate runoffs 2012.
It is far from obvious that the referendum will pass in November, even in a likely low turnout election (the only thing on the ballot will be Menendez's Senate seat.
It is far more obvious that, whether it passes or not, those three councilmembers will have further alienated their supposed "bases" and made their chances at re-election more problematic.
In politics, unless your Trump, you only get away with a small number of bad choices. It seems to me for some of our elected officials, their limit is close to running out.
Fucking awesome. Looks like Ms Good At Math miscounted how many days Dawn had left.
ReplyDeleteI don't know whether to call that letter a "mic drop" or a "bitch slap"
