Adam Alonso, the stalwart number two guy in the Murphy operation, will head to the administration in a deputy chief of staff role, InsiderNJ has learned.
Alonso was second only to Campaign Manager Brendan Gill in the day-to-day operations of the successful gubernatorial campaign of Democrat Phil Murphy.
A graduate of Drew University (political science and economics, 2002-2006), he served as COS for New York State Senator Jose Peralta from March 2011-October 2011, and founded the Cratos Group in 2009. InsiderNJ reported here that Peter Cammarano, who served as COS with Interim Governor Dick Codey, will serve as chief-of-staff to Governor-elect Murphy
A hollow victory, me. I worry why we, as a state, allow these nasty bloodsuckers to fail upwards? If Murphy is as bad as Corzine was, Alonso's career should end in Trenton. But, if Murphy is even slightly better than Corzine (and apparently this Cammarano character may be able to make that happen), we may see Alonso make his way to D.C.
And that's what's wrong with politics in this country.

ReplyDeleteI deleted the above b/c it's the wrong Peter Cammarano. :)
DeleteI am not loving Murphy's Admin. Isn't Alonso a guy who was involved in a Mason campaign? I seem to recall not liking him for some reason.
