Renowned Hoboken artist Tim Daly endorses Ravi

Hoboken painter Tim Daly endorses Hoboken mayoral candidate Ravi Bhalla

GA,

I'm writing to endorse Ravi Bhalla for Mayor of Hoboken. It's been so easy over the last eight years to get used to good, trustworthy government  with the Zimmer administration and her City Council allies.

Ravi has been with her from the first and is her chosen successor.

My name is Tim Daly and I've  lived and worked in Hoboken since 1977.

Many people know me because of my paintings. I have to say, in all those long years the Zimmer administration has been the most  progressive, responsible and squeaky clean since the Tom Vezzetti administration in the early 80's in contrast to all the other Mayors since then, whose collective legacy is one of everyday corruption, stagnation, backroom deals and Zoning by Variance.

Zimmer and her City Council allies, including Ravi, have taken Hoboken from a State takeover of city finances to a AA bond rating. They have saved Hoboken, so far, from ruinous over development by facilitating the Master Plan in an open process, and investing in Redevelopment Plans such as the current one for the irreplaceable Neumann Leathers building where I've been a tenant since 1989.

Tm Daly's "The Skyway From Route 7, Jersey City," acrylic on canvas, was recently included in the "New Jersey Arts Annual: Special Edition" at the New Jersey State Museum

If you think Hoboken has been on the right path for the last eight years and you'd like to see this continue, please vote for Ravi Bhalla and his entire Council team.

  2. Appreciate this endorsement by someone who has contributed so much to Hoboken and has been around the block and back. Good person supporting a good person.

  3. A REAL artist would have run to one of OUR candidates. One candidate offers coffee roasters and urban wineries. Pretty artsy if you ask me. Our other candidate doesn't really stand for anything publicly. How's that for a less-is-more artistic understatement? And what about the way or Team GiaFusco Reform Resistance Corporate Website is leading the fight to keep illegal immigrant artists out of the country? This Daly is either not a REAL artist, an ingrate or both! No thanks! Consider this our official refusal of your endorsement. Unless you make one, which we'll certanly accept.

    1. that would have been an apt campaign slogan: "jen, the minimalist candidate."

not like that weird/scary abstract expressionist ravi.

  4. You have Tim Daly. Roman's Ruin has, I kid you not, "textgate" where he and Kurt try to get people living and breathing in 2017 geeked up about receiving a text message at a public forum. Mind you, it's not a criticism of form. It's a full "-gate." I think it's the 3rd or 4th "-gate" of the campaign season. And with the ongoing assist of commenter #1 Monarchgate (formerly Propellergate). I'm sure this is all seen as helping someone somehow. But it all sounds like "the incredible shrinking perspective" of the angry Lilliputians of Jen Island.
