MSV fake news debunked: Jen in 3RD place (not "tied") in "latest poll"

Folks, this is getting embarrassing.

Today's MSV slobberfest  that "word on the street of the latest poll shows City Council President Jen Giattino in a statistical tie with mayoral rival Ravi Bhalla" is FALSE.

The latest poll was done by the Bhalla campaign; results came in a few days ago.

GA can confirm that Jen Giattino came in THIRD place in the Bhalla campaign poll, she was not "tied" with the front-runner.

Who was the front-runner?

More voices aren't better, they get you Mayor Romano.

  1. According to Jen's ELEC, she paid Roman $1,000 for advertising. Aside from the obvious quid-pro-quo implication of his editorial slant, the information that he has received this payment is useful in other contexts as well and admissible as evidence of means.

  2. Pretty embarrassing Ravi spent nearly $200,000 on his campaign so far and has nothing to show for it.

    1. Wait, the election is over? Shoot.

    2. With that type of spending you'd think he'd move the needle. He hasn't. He is flat.

    3. EddyE, I'd rather spend $200K to stay "flat" on top than spend $74K to "move the needle" backwards to 4th place like Mike DeFusco- your guy.

      Jealous, much?

    4. wait...MDF is in fourth place? wow. hatfield mcvictim sure has the magical mason touch: as with our beloved beth, every campaign they touch crashes and burns. maybe now he'll learn his lesson.

nah, who am i kidding, he'll be back in four years with a load of new screen names. once a victim, always a victim.

    5. Never underestimate McVictim's ability to worm his way onto the transition team of whomever wins by sheer force of wearing them down through persistence.

Followed by the sudden appearance of several dozen new screen names boasting of how he was always with that person from the very beginning.

Followed by the sudden appearance of yet a new generation of handles trashing the mayor and claiming he was NEVER with them immediately upon being turned down for any/all of his demands.

      Etc... etc... etc...

  3. 2/3 of Ravi's contributions from his ELEC report came from OUTSIDE of Hoboken. Hoboken needs a Mayor that is focused on Hoboken, not the interests of those from other cities or other states who seem to be funding his entire campaign.

    1. Ravi got 42 individual contributions from Hoboken on Schedule A- more than Giattino and DeFusco. Sounds to me like somebody on the DeFusco campaign (you) is J-E-A-L-O-U-S.

The other donors outside of Hoboken know Ravi personally, and are not strangers laundering contributions through third parties like... anybody you know?

    2. Ravi had 42 from Hoboken and more than 80 from outside of Hoboken. Mike has 80k on hand (4 times Ravi) and 90% of Jen's contributions came from inside of Hoboken.

    3. Jen is a twit and her contributors should ask for a refund. Mike is well, let's just say I question his motivations and those of all his contributors. He is just to willing to bend over backwards to accommodate every developer under the sun.

    4. Ravi just spent nearly a quarter million dollars and has not been able to differentiate himself from any of the other 3 candidates. That says a lot.

    5. P2P ethics complaint filed against Mike. Know anything about it, Double-E?

    6. Romano - best known for being silent on our massive county tax hikes
Mike - best known for being willing to let developers do whatever they want and his campaign finance filings bear out he is their creature
Jen - well, let's just say her puppet strings are showing and that is the nicest thing I can say about her

Yeah, I think Ravi has done a great job of differentiating himself. I don't doubt his competence, integrity or willingness to do a tough job. But do tell us EddyE, who do you like this election cycle? Please do share. My guess is Mike b/c you know massive development is good for your commissions.

  4. Wait, what? I'm "shocked." You mean unelectable Ravi, the foreigner, got more individual schedule A donations from Hoboken than Jen or Mike? How is that possible? Why would so many people in Hoboken support him and more so than Jen or Mike? Shocker.
