"TextGate" scandal UPDATE: #SidewaysPhoneGate

Oh nose!!!  Mayoral candidate Jen Giattino had her cell phone resting in front of her at the Hudson Reporter debate!

__

Oh, wait... Everybody knows you can't read a cell phone sideways!  .

I've got a sad story to tell you about "TextGate".   (TextGate is a manufactured smear being promoted on the Horse-dung site, and Twitter.)

The sad story to follow illustrates how far the Horse spiraled down the bowl-of-mendacity.

Yes, the malicious mustang got cold busted Tweeting out (and posting) a false statement suggesting Bhalla was "cheating" at the Sunday debate.

The perfidious pony Tweeted this: "Did Ravi Bhalla cheat at the Hoboken mayoral forum on Sunday? Received Text messages during the forum people say."

People say? Nobody said.  Late Sunday night the mendacious mustang emailed Karen Nason; Karen had sat next to Ravi at the debate.  He wrote:
"Did you notice that Ravi was receiving text messages during the forum (from his campaign manager Vijay?)"
Karen said "No."

The next day, the persistent, perjurious pony sent Karen a picture of her with her eyes cast downward taken at the debate, and said:
"You seemed to have caught something at one point."
The duplicitous donkey tried, tried, tried to get Karen to agree with the false narrative he was  pimping.  Yep, he pimped it, and pimped it to no avail...

But Karen, is an honest gal- not a lying sack of horse.  She simply told the truth. "No."

Guess what?  After he was told it wasn't true, the malevolent mustang tweeted anyway: "[Ravi] received Text messages during the forum people say." (Um... nobody said)

GA called Karen today, to ask her if there is any truth to the fallacious foal's "TextGate." Nason said,
"I never saw Ravi's phone going off. I never saw him texting.  I saw him writing notes on a paper like we all did. The only thing I heard was Mike DeFusco's phone ring and he shut it off.  Roman asked me in an email did I see it. And I said "No." He sent me a picture and said "You must have seen something." My answer again was "No". "
SAD.

Mayoral candidate Karen Nason, an honest gal.

  1. Many people are calling this TextGate-Gate. This bizarre denial that TextGate is a thing. We have TWO articles on the Team GiaFusco Reform Resistance Corporate Website. That sounds pretty thing-y to me!

And what about this: Unelectable hasn't denied it! Did you read our comment on the Reporter that he's getting money from a guy connected to ISIS? He hasn't denied that either! We're pretty sure he won't bother to deny the next set of rumors we're starting later today either. How can you trust a guy like that!?! Especially when Jen has a sign at Church Towers!

When you add it all up, many people are saying there's only one inescapable conclusion: a special prosecutor for Unelectable, George Soros, Jon Podesta, Hillary Clinton and Antifa.

By the way, Jen has a sign at Church Towers.

  2. Remember - everything on that site is a rumor. Some homeless person he was in line with over at the local soup kitchen probably fed him this hot scoop.

    1. This is a lame "update" to alter the earlier 100% proven false story and now the usual attack Jen at any cost.

      MSV is proven 100% correct.

Nancy is doing the usual lying by omission here. The Hudson Reporter mayoral forum is a closed PRIVATE forum. There's no one watching anywhere to sent a text message.

Of course anyone who knows that would see that this is another "altered" story to fit a new lie because the one at MSV got utterly decimated.

A pathetic attempt at a cover-up. Enjoy the stupidity cave dwellers!

    2. I'm holding my phone sideways when I type this comment. I am in a closed PRIVATE room so there is no one watching me type this comment.

      MSV is proven 100% idiotic.

Roman's marbles have galloped away. What will he fixate on tomorrow night. Will Ravi pick his nose? #BoogerGate Will Ravi cough? #PhlegmGate Will Ravi use the Men's room during intermission? #BowelGate.

Can't wait to read Roman's next mind-numbingly unimportant observation!

  3. Nancy, the only liar once again proven is you. Karen isn't the only person who missed TextGate. Other people and the VIDEOTAPE didn't! Thanks for making this bigger!

You added defamation to your moronic conclusion then changed it too late.
Post a retraction and stop lying!

    1. Ah, go to hell. You want to make spurious accusations ("cheating") about a candidate to influence an election outcome- Mr. Public Figure? You sound like a moron crying "defamation"- I don't see your name anywhere in that post, and the satire is on point. Comparing shutting off a cell phone to Watergate? Didn't see any "cheating" on the videotape. Nothing you could ever say or write about me is worse than hosting Kurt Gardiner's deviant photo shop. I'll say to you what you said to me- it's political satire. If you can't stand the heat, don't cook. What a big baby. WAAHHHHH.

    2. Don't sweat it, GA, he's just looking for a cover story for the REAL reason he's going back to court.

Hey Horse - get ready to PONY up!

    4. Nancy you got burned badly because you lie too often for your candidate. It's 100% stupid to think one person asked who missed the phone notifications to Ravi is the end of the story. The videotape and witnesses prove otherwise.

Dumb but now you can cry again you are the victim. You burned yourself.

    5. Burned? You look like the biggest fool in Hoboken, possibly the state of New Jersey if not the entire northern Hemisphere. Who gives a shit about Ravi's phone? Was he on the phone? No. Was he texting? No. Was he looking at his phone? No. You are seriously coming off like a jackass. See Da Ojo Rojo 2:06 PM post below.

I am not burned, I am amused- and sad for you.

    6. Nancy, the evidence is now all published on MSV. You claimed one person in the theatre was the final arbiter and the questions about TextGate and that was yes, dumb. I know, I know, time to repeat the same excuses like the BoE lie about Ravi backing Angley. Distract, deflect and fib some more.

Of course Ravi is looking at this phone. It's on the video! Try to look at the evidence before you go so reactionary in a fanatically attempt to help your candidate. You did him no favors. He deserves better.

The Bhalla campaign was deciding but had not made an answer. Without this stupidity here, more of the conclusive evidence wouldn't have been published today. You made stupid allegations and are proven wrong. Don't call anyone a liar when you're the one lying and spinning. Badly.

      Have a nice day.

    7. Hilarious! Your "evidence" is an indictment of your own dishonesty. There's no "cheating" or "texting" on that video. You've truly made a fool out of yourself and "TextGate" manufactured by you, is fit for imbeciles.

  4. This discussion is the absolute stupidest discussion this entire election cycle. Nobody gives a shit if he looked at his phone. I repeat, nobody! Well nobody but the morons voting for the empty vessel who has no real platform, no real base and no real reason to run for office expect out of desire to run for higher office. Please take these stupid manufactured controversies and stick them where they belong - in the circular file.

  5. Kurt, I mean Roman, I mean Kurt, have no traction for their pathetic site. As of 3:12 pm on Tuesday there have been 3 posts on "textgate" and all of 10 comments or 3.3 comments per post. Pathetic.

Seriously, the site sucks. Roman used to do the right thing. The right thing was exposing dark side corruption. He was rewarded for doing so. Now no one wants come to the site.

And Kurt, Forde said it best. A reputation isn't a boomerang.

  6. Forget textgate I'm reading Jen's response on infrastructure to Hoboken girl and somethings are troubling.

Jen thinks we should monetize non-core municipal properties. Does this mean selling City owned assets to the highest bidder? In any case which "non-core municipal properties" can be monetized; parks, the multipurpose center, what?

Quote: "I[Jen Giattino] intend to seek funding from resources other than through our tax levy including developers, the County (we are one of only a few towns without a county funded community center), and potentially monetizing non-core municipal properties."

    1. That is troubling. I read her interview on Little Hoboken Blog, and what jumped out at me was that she said she has wanted to be mayor for "six years."

SIX years! I was shocked. I had no idea. That's 2011- the whole time she has been my ward councilwoman, she's wanted to move up. Now I understand how she doesn't care about leaving her ward position in the middle of her term. Who's the "career politician"? So much crap thrown at Ravi, so much hypocrisy from the crap-throwers.

    2. Sorry, but no to monetizing assets. Stupid ideas like that is how we ended up w/ that Suez contract. That has not at all turned out well.

    3. It's Jen's ambition that has made her an easy mark for the con men and women who are using her. Con people seize on the weaknesses of their marks and Jen's weakness has always been political ambition.

    4. Further proof of TextGate-Gate! The terrified, quaking, quivering denial that TextGate is A Thing! We already proved TextGate was real by saying we proved TextGate was real! Do we have to prove it again by saying we proved it again??? But here you all are in desperate "syphilis-ridden" denial, as our Team GiaFusco Reform Resistance Corporate Website Administrator likes to say.

Anyway, I don't see what this has to do with The Sign at Church Towers. We haven't done any polling, but if we did, it would show that people mostly want to talk about The Sign at Church Towers. Please try to stay on the subject at hand. Which, needless to say, is The Sign at Church Towers. Many people in my head are calling it "The Surge Sign"!

  7. #SidewaysPhoneGate may just be a clever ruse to make you think no one was feeding answers to Jen, though many say it would have been humanly possible to do so.

    Test it for yourself.

Bring an IM chat up on your phone and hold your phone in the vertical/portrait position. Now pivot your phone to the horizontal/landscape position. The image adjusts to present in landscape. This is called responsive design; the same design principles lay behind the ability for a page to load on any device - mobile, tablet, desktop - without placing added demands on the user. The page responds to platform and orientation seamlessly.

Complete your test by placing your phone on the table in front of you - still in landscape or "sideways." It retains the landscape presentation. Voila! You now have a sideways, fully visible and functioning phone. Oh the shame of it!

Many say that Jen could easily have done this if she wanted to be the eventual “winner” in this insanely stupid discussion. Situating her phone "sideways" gave her plausible landscape deniability in a portrait-biased world, while leaving her phone perfectly available to her nefarious purposes.

But setting my other qualms about her aside, Jen is not dumb enough to burn calories that way; people, though, are dumb enough to talk about it ad nauseam. Ad lots and lots of nauseam.

TextGate is very instructive of where we are now in the blogging world. Two very distinct choices. One option where TextGate is recognized as the very disingenuous waste of time that it is. Or MSV, where it is the subject of three articles (and counting…).

The main difference between the sites is these Gates. MSV has become, very heavily, a Gated Community. It is forever seeking (and finding) new Gates. TextGate, SuezGate, MonarchGate, Tomorrow’s ButthurtGate.

Gated Communitarians are not really interested in facts, news, or stories so much. They seek “narratives,” especially ones that can be ginned up into Gates. Thus they have three articles (so far…) on TextGate but none on the targeting of Latino voters and the elderly by VBM scammers. Is that a story, yes. But is it a Gate, not really. A Gate must have a pre-ordained loser. And for MSV, that loser has to be Ravi Bhalla. Otherwise, not interested. Nor is his Gated Community.

They are a very small, very exclusive group at this point. GA and others are banned (not reciprocated). Still others just aren’t interested or can’t put up with the protocols. For instance today SBI has returned, and yet again his "subject" is his personal disdain for the participation of Bhalla’s wife in the campaign.

The good Gated Communitarians present will not comment on SBI’s loathing for supportive spouses, especially Bhalla's, or the deeper ugliness implied there. That’s not the protocol. As long as Bhalla is the defacto “loser” when SBI expresses his creepy issues with Bhalla’s wife, why then nothing else need be said. Just as nothing will be said about how truly idiotic TextGate is and was. That’s the Gated way.

  8. You used to read GA for one thing and MSV for another. One was more graphics, humor, and single-issue analysis pieces. The other more newsy. A tabloid and a broadsheet. You still go to them for distinct purposes.

Now you can go to MSV whenever you want to see what’s going on in the world of Gates, or to propose a new Gate of your own to the Community. A case in point. BOE support. Did Bhalla always support KF? That’s a Gate. Go to MSV for that.

Want to actually learn about the BOE, the real issues, HOLA, the debunking of Petro’s attacks on the schools, the budget, the history, the B&GC, what the state scores really mean? That’s over here. But it’s not a Gate. It’s grunt work. But with graphics and humor.

Pick one or the other. Not that hard. Gates or Graphics. It’s as easy as deciding who you like for governor. Wait, scratch that. Bad analogy as it turns out. I’ll try to come up with something that doesn't leave anyone out.
