Uh-oh!
The dozen folks live-streaming the June 21 City Council meeting know that ordinance (Z-509)- to amend Hoboken's "500-foot rule" (the law which sets a 500' min. distance between businesses covered by a liquor consumption license) was on the Agenda.
The ordinance was up for First Reading.
The First Reading passed unanimously.
The Final Reading will take place on July 5.
So, what were the proposed Amendments to the original ordinance?
A list of areas to be EXCLUDED from Hoboken's 500-foot rule; one exclusion is Hoboken's Central Business District.
Here are the exclusions.
So...
On June 21, Mike DeFusco voted "YES" on the amended ordinance containing EXCLUSIONS to the 500 Foot Rule
On June 28, Mike DeFusco met in Schnackenberg's with a developer and a prominent restaurateur with several popular bar-restaurants in Hoboken's Central Business District.
Well... guess what?
Sources tell GA:
After sitting with the developer bar-restaurateurs, DeFusco is flipping to keep the 500 foot rule.Flippity Flip Flop!
"I'm stuck!" |
Did Tiffany make that up too ?
ReplyDeleteHi, Hobokened Out.
DeleteMy source wasnt Tiffanie. Next council meeting we'll find out whether Mike flipped on porpoise which would be fishy. Or will he ask to table the ordinance while he figures out how to make his donors happy.
All I can tell you is he was FOR the amendments before he canoodled with his big DONOR pals.
MDF, his initials, are also the construction industry short-hand for "medium density fiberboard", a cheap product, easily bought and sold, used by many but disfavored by some for its dead weight and unstable character in certain environments. When put together with other components, it easily falls apart under stress, and it too is not a good choice for mayor.

ReplyDeleteYes! You've brought vibrancy to the Hoboken Flipper!
Delete, Flipper helps protect the park and preserve and its wild inhabitants. He is also instrumental in apprehending criminals and thugs in the park. Flipper is generally recognized by the characters in the show (and the theme song) as being a particularly intelligent and capable dolphin.

DeleteThe name applies more to Jen and Tiffany these days .. they are the new flippers.. back stabbing the Zimmer administration.. or just demonstrating the hypocrites they are .. (republicans !! )
DeleteYou're funny, Hobokend Out. Can I change the subject away from Republican bashing? (you DeFusco folks are really stirring the pot!)
DeleteDo you like the new site design? Why/why not?
And Rhavj and Jen are ? It seems as the right and left arm were working through a different brain as if they came out of a Siamese mastermind monster .. how come he can't just endorse her ... how come she could not stay quiet and be like .. I'll support him... greed .. that's why. They flipped.. their whole game plan flipped
ReplyDeleteWe all felt sandbagged- there was no game plan to flip. Both Ravi and Jen are great people. If there is no convergence, we are screwed- of course, your guy (Flipper) would be the beneficiary. That is my heartfelt opinion, Hobookend Out!
DeleteRavi would be taking a pay cut. If he wants to be greedy, he needs to get better at using a calculator.
DeleteI think everyone but Romano and the run for fun people would be taking a pay cut
DeleteTrue that .. I just feel there's something else (between those two ) we don't know yet .. again
ReplyDeleteNah. Reformers are a bunch of goody-two shoes nerds, boring- myself included. No conspiracies that I'm aware of! Really, Hobokened Out.
DeleteOnce you go anti Reform .. you can not be part of it .. especially running as a Republican that voted for Trump
