Zimmer & Stack meet for pie in Hoboken!

Zimmer and Stack meet to stick a fork in the Muniz takeover

According to sources, Hoboken Mayor Zimmer and LD33 NJ State Senator (and Union City Mayor) Brian Stack met for pie at a Hoboken diner yesterday.

Was it cherry? Apple? Blueberry?  Was the crust moist? Buttery?

GA doesn't know, but sources report that Stack and Zimmer "mutually agreed" to meet at the diner for "pie and coffee," presumably where they would be seen- and they were.

I suppose on the agenda was how to "stick a fork" in North Bergen's move into the Hoboken mayoral race; InsiderNJ reported Sacco operative Joey Muniz is trying to push Stick Romano out of the mayoral race, and trying to push Phil Murphy out of his special guest appearance at Dawn Zimmer's April 17th fundraiser.

Speaking of the Muniz story, GA's coverage (sort of) got props from Political Insider columnist Augie Torres today.   Torres called GA's coverage "fun stuff", then spelled the blog's name wrong: "Gravix Avenger." Maybe homage to Greta Garbo?

Zank you Augie for zee mention, now I vant to be alone.

Augie's take on Hoboken politics is like the rest of Hudson County's: Hoboken is the County's crazy uncle you keep locked in the attic....

Only this crazy uncle has the keys to a goldmine of pending development and options to develop.

Now here comes North Bergen to swipe the crazy uncle's keys!

  1. I wonder if someday Al Sullivan will have the same level of journalistic integrity as Augie and credit GA by (correct) name when he gets information for his HR column from this blog. I won't hold my breath.

  2. It's a three-way race now... Zimmer, DeFusco and Karen Nason.

    1. Nason has every right to be pissed off about the way she was treated by zoning, but running for mayor? She'd be better off hiring a lawyer.

  3. Mike has no scars. I'm not sure what that means, but they say it will be explained in the next email we get. Either way it's supposed to be highly good. He's the complete package. He's young and doesn't live in Church Towers or Marine View. We're calling that the complete package.

Reform stalwart Tony Soares has plenty of scars from being a reform stalwart pioneer stalwart. So when Mike needs help with scars stalwart Tony the pioneer will be there.

It's a perfect team and poised to replace fake reformer Dawn Zimmer. Dawn is terrible. Since she's been mayor, traffic bad parking hospital school system. Before she was mayor, no traffic bad parking hospital school system.

I know because I live here in my house with my family which lives in my house as well together with me. I'm on that street near the restaurant with the lights and tables. I'm a young guy and go to a bar every night so I know what young guys in bars are saying. But I'm also a long term resident, so I have my finger on the pulse of my fellow older residents. As a hispanic stay at home mom, I can tell you for sure that I'm worried about all the crime in the projects since Zimmer became mayor. But a security system would be a hardship for me as a retired black man on a fixed income.

Fake reformer Dawn doesn't seem to understand my problems. I need someone with no scars who has a guy helping him with just the right number of scars. I didn't even know it was an election year. Fancy that! I hope those guys decide to run. They'd have my various votes.

    1. Love it! An excellent snapshot of the world according to County strongman Muniz and Stalwart Snoares: a "dream ticket" fronted by that "powerhouse" Mike D!

    2. Wait, is that the restaurant with the menus and plates?? Hey, we're practically neighbors! Yes, you are definitely a resident all right. For sure!

Don't tell me there's an election again?! Now people like us who just want to talk with our fellow citizens of Hoboken New Jersey population 52000 about restaurants and corruption and aren't trying to manipulate public opinion in the least will have to listen to all these so-called reformers who want traffic bad parking hospital school system. Just great!

I sure hope Mike "The Complete Package" Defusco and reform pioneer stalwart Tony Soares stalwart pioneer decide to run before we have nothing left but traffic bad parking hospital school system. Oy vey!

PS. Next time you're at the restaurant, try the special. It's really good for eating.

    1. Well I sure am a 25-year-old yuppie. No doubt about that. I go to bars with my 25-year-old yuppie girlfriend whose name escapes me at the moment. All of our 25-year-old yuppie friends are sad that Zimmer cancelled the St Patrick's day parade because she hates Jesus. So we are very happy that you are taking over Hoboken New Jersey population 52000, Strong-man Joe. As a lesbian I'm disappointed by the lack of diversitude in our mayor-council form of government based on the Faulkner Act and implemented based on the recommendations of the Charter Study Commission as of January 1, 1953. Also my husband lost his job due to traffic bad parking hospital school system thanks to Zimmer. So now we are poor and have decided to become criminals thanks to Zimmer. I would like to say more but I am late for my morning crime.

  7. Time for better reads ..
I know what you are thinking… who’s got the time for this? Let me assure you that there is something therapeutic about cutting and rolling and shaping dough. It brings back memories of my mom, I guess! And so, last week-end, I made the time to make this Homemade Cavatelli Pasta Dough Recipe. Feel free to use your stand mixer with the hook attachment; but there is something so special about kneading dough and making pasta from scratch…yes, I agree it is very labour intensive. But you can’t deny that sense of satisfaction that comes from making your own pasta! And this is a very forgiving dough, so let’s get started!
Thought to change it a bit unlike GA.. so today's menu is Cavatelli

  8. I supported Zimmer before she scheduled a snow storm in March. It's no accident that Zimmer-storm is right before St. Patrick's Day!

Mike DeFusco is not pro snow storm!
