Not running for NJ Governer

Hudson County View has the developing story:
Fulop has a 2 p.m. press conference scheduled on the step of city hall regarding the 2017 municipal elections and multiple sources said the mayor will then back Murphy for governor, the only declared Democratic candidate....

Fulop is one of the many witnesses who will testify in the Bridgegate trial and has declined to give any details about what he will say on the stand.
There is more, check out John Heinis' breaking news at Hudson County View.

In the meantime, Heinis will attend the scheduled 2 pm conference which will be live-streamed by Hudson County View on Facebook.

    1. He raised a lot of money and the guys who ran the pac sure seemed to think it was more than bau fund-raising. Something must've happened.

  2. surprising but maybe fulop realized he was maybe rushing things and would be better suited to run for gov in four or eight years. he's still pretty new to NJ politics, his chances will probably only get better in the future.

  3. oh my, al sullivan's head is going to explode. he'll write about this every week for the rest of the year, LOL!

  4. I expect we'll soon be reading in Al's column about how Zimmer recently attended a Sweeney event disguised as Beth Mason. Her husband snuck in wearing a Matt Callicio disguise.

  5. Murphy v. Sweeney huh?

  6. while i'm not inclined to vote for sweeney (he's already tainted by the mason connection, IMHO), i don't know anything about murphy. is he worth supporting, or should we hope another democrat jumps into the race?

  7. It's a good thing the Mayor attended a Murphy event after all! ;) * the one in Hoboken last year at that Fuse place - Not the fantasy Al Sully event in AC

    :)

  8. Murphy is a great self-made guy. He seems like he would be really honest- Unlike Union Boss Sweeney

    1. The only thing that makes one wonder (IF) Fulop is mired in some sort of scandal, Murphy would most likely know and Murphy would not have appeared with him yesterday.

The Big Winner in this is Zimmer's former Chief of Staff who has been committed and working art-time for Murphy from early on.

  10. Having met Sweeney, I can say that like Mason, he is one of those politicians that after he shakes your hand you look around for some Purel.

  11. Murphy is getting Gov seat, Fulop is getting Menedez's spot.

    Another HCDO deal

    1. If true, I'd probably be good with that. I suppose Melendez has been good for Hudson County overall but I've had enough of his corruption trial.

  13. At the end of the day, if Mason is the loser, all is well in the world.

  14. Dismiss the intel all you guys want, Fulop is a witness in Bridgegate. He also failed to disclose his job with a vendor of The Port Authority (WHILE HE WAS A JC Councilman and JC had contracts with both ) and that was recently disclosed.

Not disclosing sources of income when you're an elected official is a violation. Voting on paying vendors you work for ( if he did ) is a major conflict too
