Gee, does Carmelo have a 6th Ward kick-off every year? I missed that.
At Hoboken Public Library?
Interesting! GA didn'tknow that taxpayer-funded municipal buildings could host political campaign events.
Listen, who am I to argue with a Harvard man.

Two years at Harvard: 2012 to 2014... that explains the (bi-weekly) empty chair!
Hoboken School Board meeting, May 8, 2012 |
How and why is this taking place at the Library???
ReplyDeleteAlso what is the over/under on Registered 6th ward voters attending? Maybe 10??
Sure there will be the Carmelo crew attendees who live elsewhere to make it seem crowded but will 6th warders care?
Looking at the list of people saying they will attend most are can not vote in the 6th Ward and are the usual Carmelo camp followers.
DeletePete O. got his boy off on the wrong foot already.
Beth Mason not invited.
DeleteIf George Ortiz shows up that would be a messy situation.
DeleteMost can't read either
DeleteI guess somebody in the library said no and Mr. Carmelo got kicked to the curb and will have to have his rally in the park.
DeleteIf his usual crew shows up and carries on like they do it will energize voters to get out for Councilwoman Jen Giattino.
A sad pathetic dangerous man.
ReplyDeleteFunny, a comment posted by a guy who lives in Paterson, NJ : "Assemblyman Carmelo G. Garcia has my full support. "
ReplyDeleteHe's an idiot. He went to a weekend workshop at Harvard. The guy went to Seton Hall for under grad
ReplyDeleteWhat a Charlatan
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA - who does these sorts of things? A weekend seminar? Next he will say he attended Notre Dame because he went to a football game there.
DeleteAs a taxpayer you probably paid for the seminar.
DeleteI watched the Giants on TV, does that make me Eli's new Running Back? Ohhh Carmelo. Can't wait for that at the debate. "Please explain how you WENT to Harvard"
DeleteLena Podles the Library Director loves Carmelo... That Library is a patronage cesspool.
ReplyDeleteUsed to have nothing but B&R residents working there smoking cigarettes behind the desk and complaining... That Sasso woman was nasty
If she allows a political rally on City property this could be toodles to Podles.
DeleteLOL
My new client's Facebook page specifically identifies him as a politician. Not a public servant. So obviously to stay in practice he'd have kickoffs all the time - not just in election years like lazy incompetent people do. It shows professional commitment.
ReplyDeleteCarmelo at Harvard? Did he visit the gift shop on a tour of the campus?
ReplyDelete300 bucks to go to a beer and burger joint and listen to that nasal gibberish?
ReplyDeleteHold on we have to pay to go ?
DeleteI thought we got paid to go to these things ?
Can I get on the comp list ?
Garcia is holding a $300/head fundraiser at Mikie Squared (7:30PM) following the Hoboken Library Kick-off (6:30 PM).

WARNING:
DeleteCarmelo Garcia has be known to wear secretive recording devices and anything you say to him can be used against you,
Apart from hapless suck-up Branco, does anyone who actually lives in the 6th ward want this douche? It doesn't even look like the 6th ward is invited to the $300 mozzarella stick thingy.
ReplyDeleteWill Beth Mason buy up all the $300 tickets and hand them out to HHA residents and seniors, as is her habit (even though they don't live in the 6th)??? Was Mason against Ramos/Garcia before she was for them? Or vice versa? Can she even keep straight who she gives Ricky's money to and why?
ReplyDeleteSee? THAT's why she needs a chief of staff and team of consultants: just too many darn political sleaze bags in this town to support!
Jen must be very psyched if this is who she's running against. Damn, she probably won't even have to campaign!
ReplyDeleteJen just has to get Garcia upset, set up a camera outside her front door then wait for Pissboy Garcia to make his move.
ReplyDeleteSmile Carmelo, you're on pee-on-door camera!
The kickoff will have face-painting and door-peeing.
DeleteLet's hope he's not giving out door prizes.
DeleteWill Branco bring their Bouncy House?
DeleteWill Garcia declare all the businesses he has partnerships in?
Including Bars, Taxi licenses and Condo developments?
How about the 5 lots on Jackson St and Big Banner he wanted to buy to expand the HHA... What happened there?
If PNC Bank's walls could talk... If Door stoops could talk...
Carmelo is promising to single handedly fix the sprayers and fountains in the parks
ReplyDeleteDid he or didn't he?
ReplyDeleteHudson Reporter, May 20, 2000: "Messy situation..."
..." As Director of Hoboken Recreation for Hoboken City Hall Carmelo Garcia was a strong advocate for introducing water sports to the recreation program."
DeleteKinky !
DeleteThe Hoboken Public Library's policy concerning use of its public rooms, in an archaic, soviet-era style of acquiescence to political pressures from individuals of dubious character, seems to allow Carmelo's use - or for that matter, anyone else's, including his competition in this political race: http://hoboken.bccls.org/media/Library%20Space%20Use%20Policy.pdf
ReplyDeleteHowever, he has to have a library card, which is doubtful, and no one may urinate on the premises or disrupt the other programs. That last one will be very hard for the Carmelitos, whose ordinary speaking voices are at near glass-shattering decibel levels. Mr Garcia himself has never spoken publicly but that he screamed, shouted and bellowed. The recordings prove it.
It's sad and disturbing that this policy allows what should be a venerated, neutral and important institution to become politicized. Is Podles really that clueless? The NYC Public Library does not allow such events. Their policy reads in part: "No religious ceremonies, political events, or coming-of-age parties are allowed."
The Hoboken Public Library should revoke its flawed policy. In the meanwhile, they should expect - and must provide - the same space to anyone else, including Mr. Garcia's detractors. And there are many.
Does the Library have any books on ebonics? Trying to find the definition of " Personability"
DeleteThe Con artist formerly known as "Memo" claims he attended Harvard, wonder if he went inside?
It's a Harvard word.
DeleteSomebody at the Library must have been reading GA and they told Garcia to take it outside.
DeleteI saw that! Got a screencap of the original yesterday morning- Garcia's campaign changed the invitation yesterday afternoon.
DeleteYet again, GA gets positive results for Hoboken residents :) This guy is gonna pull out all the sleaze possible in this campaign
DeleteThey also removed the "Annual" part from the campaign kickoff. Quite a mistake for a Harvard man
DeleteFrom PolitickerNJ this is a real Jem: " When you combine his natural personability but also his intellect, its a killer combo. Formidable support is lining up behind him – hes a new generation guy with deep roots in Hoboken. Another killer combo.”
ReplyDeleteHow much u wanna bet the source is Carmelo himself
Today's word is :" personability"
DeleteGarcia using "big words" again. Did he study ebonics at Harvard?
He's a smarmy, self-absorbed sleaze-bag with all the charm of a snake oil salesman and if even half the things that are said about him are true, no one should support him, least of all our library.
DeleteGarcia is insane see his performance at "Hola!"
ReplyDelete“It's so great to see HOLA Charter School, receive a $5,000 reward from the Jets Play 60 Healthy eating program. At the end of the day, it's not about us, but it is about our children.
Did the $5K go to pay his wife's salary @ Hola?
DeleteThe Garcia/Ramos trolls are certainly out in force! Wonder if they will be less obvious than the Mason trolls.
ReplyDeleteWhat? A Troll would be someone SUPPORTING Garcia's side. Where is that above?
Deleteanon@12:40...not on this post, but elsewhere and on previous GA stories.
Deletethen why post that here unless you are trying to cause trouble you idiot?
Deletewhy the name calling, anon@4:08? it was an observation, i offer my sincerest apologies if it might have been posted here against your likes and wishes. i shall promise to be a better commenter in the days and weeks ahead, and will look to you for guidance as my commenting role model. please take me under your wing, oh wise anon, so i too may learn the ways of acceptable commenting.
DeleteAnother Carmelo-ism:
ReplyDelete"CARNAVAL"?
It certainly is a "Carnival" CarmAlo
" It's a great day for love, fun, reflection and blessings! Proud to have supported the Mile SquareTheatre's first annual hoopla Carnaval as the kids dunked me! Wishing all the dads a happy healthy and memorable Father's Day!
"
Garcia, The Warrior: Tweets or Twit?
ReplyDeleteCarmeloism #4,456
" Luv the last pic as its so intense & a depiction of that Garcia inner warrior, soccer crazed! Wishing everyone a Blessed, Happy Memorial day weekend! — with Dawn Marie and Bella Vita."
This KILLER COMBO is certainly no Happy Meal.
ReplyDeleteHilarious!
DeleteHas Carmelo Garcia said publicly where his is working since he was removed from the HHA ?
ReplyDeleteHe has been very tight lipped about it.
Does anyone know as it could be an issue ?
good question.
DeleteWhere is in the world is Carmelo Garcia working these days?
He's probably working out at the gym with his buddy Ramos.
What a pair of jack offs.
Is Carmelo Garcia's campaign being run out of his taxpayer paid Assembly office on River Street ?
