UPDATED--Machine Results: Highest Vote Getters by Ward

* GA note: The Ward Elections Results chart has been updated to show the 9 'Column B' votes for 2-3 candidate Patricia Waiters .

UPDATE- 12:00 noon
GA has confirmed the following:
  • There were Reform write-ins for "unopposed slots"  in Ward 2-District 5, Ward 4-Districts 2 and 5, Ward 5-Districts 2 and 4.
  • (3) Reform write-ins have won, others are unconfirmed but, all 7 seats are believed to have been won.
  • The machine data sheet issued by the City Clerk last night (and posted here) contained errors, but they are not believed to impact results.
  • Write-ins which were filled out incorrectly (man/women candidate slots switched or names misspelled) are being discarded.  READ YOUR BALLOT CAREFULLY, PEOPLE.
  • GA assumes there were additional write-ins (other than those noted below).  The ones noted here are specific to slots absent an HCDO candidate.
  • Absentee and provisional ballots will be counted on or by Friday when the election will be certified.
The chart below is updated to show confirmed Reform write-ins, but vote counts for these write-ins are pending.

That's it for now!

Original post:
GA posted raw data (machine vote tabulations) last night Hey, they came in after my bedtime.

Below are vote totals per candidate in each district ward, with the highest male/female vote-getters per ward noted in RED.  Please note these numbers do not include write-ins.  When those come in, I will add/merge to this chart.

In the meantime, have at it, folks!

  1. So "Chairman" Cryan pulled down 4 votes on the machines. Way to go Jamie !

  2. I will pee my pants laughing if any of these folks got bumped out by write ins

Looks like Ms Waiters may not have even voted for herself on the machines at least

  3. Oh no poor sandwich head! came in 4th place in his ward!

  4. I count about 10-15 races that could potentially be overturned via write-in votes. Yeah, political mover-and-shaker Cryan must be proud to have received only four more votes than Waiters, LOL!

The totals sure are different when there aren't any VBMs, huh?

    1. Even Assilem got more than four times as many vote as Jamie, OUCH!

  5. Melissa White (Blanco) also got more votes then Carmelo Garcia and Joe Branco. Bow to your election master Carmelo/Joe!

Patricia Waiters had to have someone correctly punch in a vote. If not, Carmelo's #1 girl just lost out her first election victory leaving Ines Garcia Kreim as the big election victor when no one is on the oppossing side of a ballot.

Perry Belfiore's crew of city representatives. Saddam Hussein runs a better slate of candidates. LOL

  6. We can! We did! Not Impressive!

  7. Some of these have zero votes. They couldn't even be bothered to vote for themselves?

  8. I find that odd too, especially Pat Waiters. I assume machine error, or votes coming on provisional or absentee ballots.

  9. GA - a few corrections based on a list I picked up this afternoon at the clerk's office:

the 5-4 candidates who you list at 0 (the Kemps) got 30 ans 31 votes on the machines. Pat Waiters ran off the HCDO line and got 9 votes on the machines and likely some absentees.

  10. My understanding is that Pat Waiters ran off the line & unopposed so her totals would be in 4B for her ward and district not 4A

    FYI
The Committee candidates were only on the ballot in their ward and district not a city wide ballot, so the totals only reflect the number of democratic voters in that respected ward and district that came out to vote yesterday. That is not a refection of a ward or city wide election.

    1. Thanks.

Yes, I know, and some districts are more populous than others in a given ward. The "highest votes" per ward doesn't address density of voters in each respective district, just number of votes (vote totals) in each respective district of a ward.

  11. I would have been so sweet to have knocked Jamie off, clearly it wouldn't have taken much. Operation mayhem should have been more organized. That would have been so easy.

Look at the 5-3 reformers organized here. Why not in the other wards?

    1. Totally agree. Knocking off Branco and Garcia should have been a home run.

  12. It would have been more like a grand slam with peanut butter and jelly!!

  13. Good to see we will have reform some reform eyes and ears in the group but frankly the whole Democratic Committee is basically a vestigial ceremonial political entity with almost no real power.

The fun part will be to watch the old guard politicos elbow each other for position because their egos keep them all lusting after the same single prize of being mayor. It is already a grudge match and will soon turn into a blood sport.

    1. Given the people in JC who are adamant about making sure Beth Mason does not become the chair, I have to assume there is still some meaningful juice in the position, if only writing checks to HCDO goondidates.

    2. What money ? Hoboken Dems only have around 4K in the kitty.

    3. Could a certain washed up shrew load say 50k of her own (husband's) money in the coffers and then distribute it as the largesse of the Hoboken Democratic Committee, thus extending her imaginary run as something other than a spender of someone else's income?

    4. Not sure. Anyone know?

It may be tough though. With Hillary calling every 5 minutes to chat she may not have time. You know cause they are such good friends

When do they get together to bloody each other up?

Is there any chance they nominate Melissa Blanco? Everyone pray real hard.

  15. Just curious, has Carmelo given any official reason/excuse/spin on why he didn't run for reelection of his assembly seat? We know the real reason but curious to know what he's telling his flock.

    1. Probably blaming it on Jen Giattino or Dana Wefer. Word on the street Carmelo's been spreading bogus rumors about them both. through proxies so his hands stay clean.
