Mayor is supporting Old Guard at top of ticket, why should anyone expect a reformer to run on the line with that? But at least she's consistent with supporting them right across the city and down to the lowest positions on the ballot. Is this a plan arranged by Bernie Kenny and The First Lady?
anon @10:23, explain what you mean about the mayor supporting the OG or i call total BS. i probably shouldn't bother wasting my time on trolls but just thought I'd ask. Eager to hear your "behind the scenes/inside story".
She's crazy. Check out this gem. She seems to be saying there is an organized campaign in Hoboken to confiscate the property of veterans. She can basically turn any subject matter in this direction.
If you ask me, she's doing a pretty good job getting information from the city. I didn't even know about the veteran property confiscation initiative....
ASSilem has fruit loops between her ears. However she's supported by the Hudson Street Harridan so do not underestimate her power to beat Abernathy- a woman who does NOT hear voices. nor talk to lamp posts
People in 5-3 VOTE for PHIL COHEN and MELISSA ABERNATHY.
I wonder if Petrosino is running under the name of any women? I mean he posts online disguised as one of the Gals according to his avidavit. Maybe the candidates should be forced to prove they are who they say they are
After what Pino's said about Michele. After Tony's multiple felony convictions. After Michaels lunch with Sol FBI tape. After Michele and Tony getting caught and kicked off the City health plan. After losing control of City Hall, City Council and HBOE.
This seems to be one of the few games left in Hoboken the Russo's can still play and win.
Not sure what the prize could be since when the Reform was in control they made sure that the money dump to Russo's Old Guard candidates was stopped, But hey, Michele needs something to keep her busy other than the job with benefits Stack gave her in Union City.
This is a big defeat, let's not forget how many attempts Zimmer made in an attempt to control the Chair, Be The Honorary Chair and whatever else she wanted... Nobody wants to volunteer and stand up for her anymore. They were tired of being insulted and dismissed by her two man Consigliere
Big defeat? I'd say losing the mayoral race, the council and school board majorities are big defeats. If this is the best they can do, then whoop-di-doo.
Big defeat my Assilem. Considering the cast of characters on that ballot, I wouldn't want to be associated with this sham of an appendage of the Democratic Party.
Did you ever stop to think that maybe the people who support Zimmer largely have real jobs and aren't focusing 100% of their efforts to "get what's theirs"? Because w/ half the people on that list, that is exactly the sort of person you have on the ballot.
more BS trolling from anon @ 12:48, making shit up to stir the pot and never EVER able to cite ANY real life examples of things he claims. it's actually sort of entertaining...go on, continue with the hoboken politics fan-fic.
Sully's puff piece about Mason in today's HR is a hoot. He makes it sound like she and Hillary are BFFs... though Mason was one of 100 guests at a $2700 admission 1 hour fundraiser, and Hillary schmoozed with everyone there. It's hysterical how hard the HR is trying to turn a sow's ear into a silk purse.
I've read many ridiculous things in the HR but that Clinton piece was OVER THE TOP hiiiiilarious. OMG, Beth claiming to be long-time friends with the Clintons, how the two of them sat and talked political strategy, like it was a private meeting, ha!! Mason has trouble stringing two sentences together, did fishboy arrange to have a teleprompter behind Hillary's head so Beth could read what to say over her shoulder?
I am ... confused. I realize that when most people say that on a blog they are getting ready to launch into some sort of passive-aggressive attack in which they wish to appear innocently pushed in a political direction that they didn't intend to go in. Etc.
But I'm actually confused.
I have been reading about Romano, Mike Russo, and Mason as candidates for the committee chair. Yet none of them are on the ballot. Do they not have to be? Cryan is on there as #42. Why not the other three?
Can the people whom the public does elect from the list above turn around and draft someone whom the public has not elected to have the top slot? What they hell kind of process is that? Why shouldn't the chairmanship have to be drawn from a list that has passed muster with the voters? Or is it the case that Al Sullivan and the other speculators didn't do their homework as to who was a viable and GA did?
As expected pathological Zimmer hater Assilem is running. Row 62.
ReplyDeleteMayor is supporting Old Guard at top of ticket, why should anyone expect a reformer to run on the line with that? But at least she's consistent with supporting them right across the city and down to the lowest positions on the ballot.

only the tapes will tell

DeleteShe's crazy. Check out this gem. She seems to be saying there is an organized campaign in Hoboken to confiscate the property of veterans. She can basically turn any subject matter in this direction.
DeleteHere's an article about Path service cuts in Hoboken which she twists into complaining about whatever information she thinks she's supposed to be getting from the city.
If you ask me, she's doing a pretty good job getting information from the city. I didn't even know about the veteran property confiscation initiative....
Whattadope.

DeletePeople in 5-3 VOTE for PHIL COHEN and MELISSA ABERNATHY.
She is nutters.
DeleteCohen and Abernathy are toast. They want full control and no spies.
DeleteEven if they did win, it matters nothing. Why would they waste their time even?
DeleteIn what is a shame election from the very start orchestrated by the Russos and Cryan it takes guts to be in it ... win or lose.
This election is both the shame and a sham. The least we can do is get out the vote for the few reformers on the ballot.
DeleteIncumbent 4-4 committeeman Matt Calicchio on the ballot. What a surprise.
ReplyDeleteI thought he lived uptown with his aunt or grandma.
DeleteSome of the biggest Zeros in life are on that list
ReplyDeleteBiancamano and Keim in 2-1... yikes.
ReplyDeletea motley crew to be sure.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Petrosino is running under the name of any women? I mean he posts online disguised as one of the Gals according to his avidavit. Maybe the candidates should be forced to prove they are who they say they are
ReplyDeleteAt least a dozen people on that list who make my skin crawl.
ReplyDeleteMore then a dozen on this list should make your skin crawl, its like 97%.
DeleteNot many Zimmer people on that list. Sad that reform can't get it together here. Thankfully she can still carry the city with only 46% of the vote
ReplyDeleteSad is that in a very un-democratic way Jamie Cryan hand picked only anti-Zimmer people to be on the ballot and shut out everyone else.
DeleteSomething to remember when publishes some sob story bs about democracy.
The Russo family have bee running this game for decades.
ReplyDeleteThey know how to do it and they have the beach house to prove it.

It's too bad they are being handed this as well as control to change the by-laws - why did Zimmer retreat like this? Not even fight.... sad
DeleteI don't think as much as they may want too, they can change by bylaws to fund local candidates.
DeleteReally? How were they changed last time?

DeleteMama Michele and the old guard politicos needs to make this silly little election seem much more then It is. It is not.
DeleteNot really, @JackD. Just calling bullshit on trolls, that's all.

Why no Zimmer supporters on the list ?
ReplyDeleteCause Jamie Cryan as Chairman and political hack picked only Zimmer haters to run.
Scummy. but predictable.
Who is Jamie Cryan's running mate? That's a new name.
DeleteShe is a real estate saleswoman @ Hudson Place her her husband Nick is a developer here in Hoboken.
