An Important Message From Councilwoman Mason

I hope you got your "Important Message From Councilwoman Mason" like I did, because she's  got important things to say to all of us.   Very Important!

If you haven't gotten The Important Message, I will summarize it for you in order of Importance.

I will start with "Important," proceed to "More Important", continue on to "Even More Important," then to "Almost Most Important," to  "Important-est" and finish with "Aliens are Eating My Sweater."

Important Message No. 1: Councilwoman Mason has been meeting in City Council chambers for 7 years and not once protested that members of the public are denied entry because of handicapped accessibility. The Councilwoman does not know there are handicapped accessible doors on the Newark Street Side of City Hall and an elevator. It's never too late to learn important new facts!

Important Message No. 2: Mayor Zimmer is the Mayor of Hoboken, not the Mayor of the Hoboken Housing Authority and she's not the Grand Poobah of the Loyal Order of Water Buffaloes Lodge No. 26, either.  Unless you vote her in!

Important Message No. 3:   Oops, made a mistake! The statement: "Recently, various news outlets  reported about an audio recording of the Mayor's husband discussing the hiring of a new attorney for the HHA board" should read: "One year ago on August 18, 2013 the Hoboken Reporter wrote about how Garcia was wearing a wire and invited Grossbard to lunch at Jack Dempsey's in NYC, Grossbard (most likely smelling a rat) invited friend and attorney Bernie Kenny, a former Garcia mentor, Garcia recorded them both and also spoke to G-d in the crapper recording the toilet-side chat on his wire.   GA covered the "lunch", too.

Important Message No. 4:  A very rich person can fund city-wide libelous statements in important letters, important robo-calls and in important emails about a member of the 'free press' who reports on the hypocrisy and corrupt practices of elected officials, federal employees and political operatives.   A very rich person can also underwrite SLAPP suits against such members of the 'free press' and those whom they dislike.

Important Message No. 5: The "values" of Hoboken are only at risk if you believe Beth Mason's Important Message from Councilwoman Beth Mason.

  1. SLAM! Thanks as always, GA.

  2. Beth continues to be the most politically tone-deaf person ever to grace this side of the Mississippi. She cannot possibly have left her house or the hearing distance of people not paid for friendship for at least a decade if she thinks this message has any chance to resonate in Hoboken 2014.

I can't wait til the day only a little over a year from now when her email ID changes from Beth@MasonCityCouncil.org to Beth@BethsBigEmptyHouse.org.

  3. Wait, is that an actual letter? No. Really? Wow. In a few passages, "she" (and I say she in quotes because we know this was written by a political op and not her) steps over the line from political spin to blatant lie. Have her ops convinced her to take this approach because it means they stay employed for a while longer? I can't believe any fair-minded person would believe any of this BS.

Maybe she's gone a little kooky in the head, what else could explain this type of attack? Sadly, attacks like this have potential to stoke racial unrest, what happens then? Want to know what happens to the political ops if property is damaged or, god forbid, blood is shed? They run for the hills because that blood is on the hands of the person who's name is singed at the bottom of that letter. Is Beth Mason ready for the potential consequences? What happens if she turns Hoboken into Ferguson, MO?

    1. Mason has gotten so extreme, that Poe's law has come into play.

Poe's Law: Without a blatant display of humor, it is impossible to create a parody of extremism or fundamentalism that someone won't mistake for the real thing.

    2. The letter is *real*?????

So, I can never remember. What's the difference between libel and slander?

    3. Libel is written or otherwise printed, slander is spoken.

  4. That's one creepy letter. She really is NUTS.

  5. I wonder if anyone is left from the original Mason entourage who has any respect left for her as a leader. Even the staunchest of her original allies must know in their private moments that the only thing they have left to keep them going and to make them feel "united" is their loathing for Zimmer and Zimmer supporters. But it's been years now since they were really for anyone. That has to suck - trying to make up for never getting to applaud by booing all the louder.

I'm not talking about Beth's paid staff. They don't count and can't vote. I'm talking about that original core of smart, energetic believers who have watched this long, hideous public descent from the glory days of 2006 until now - when she -or whoever wrote that disgraceful flier - attempts to link a more than likely paid-for demonstration on behalf of an obvious self-serving charlatan to the courageous civil rights marches in the deep south. (Note the reference to the K9 units.)

Beth obviously has no shame left and never had much sense. But she used to have people around her who did. Are any of them left? By extrapolation, no. If you're still with Beth, you're a moral idiot. Or you're getting paid. There's no third way.

  6. So Beth cares so much for the HHA, then why wasn't she fighting to get those generators installed ASAP? Please keep your crocodile tears to yourself.

    1. Excellent point. The fact is she doesn't care about the HHA. The cares about publicity stunts. Carmelo has completely screwed the average HHA resident. Beth only cares about the ones who want to dabble in politics. But that isn't the purpose of the HHA.

When should we expect to hear from the NJDC about Sigsy Cheatham's musings on Jewish women effing dogs in caves, Beth?

  7. Ms. Mason is a very intelligent woman. Vision $/$ is dead in the water. She doesn't live in the 4th ward. 4th ward residents can't vote in the 2nd ward. What benefit could she get from sending this letter or attending rallies and marching side by side with anti-Semites that purport the Jewish race is a creation of cave women having sex with jackals? In fact, she seems to intelligent to even this letter that was sent out in her name. It makes you think if the stories around the HHA that Carmelo has her blackmailed are true. Who knows maybe he wrote the letter? Now that makes more sense. It would also explain why Mr. Mason would finance anything so ridiculous. In a nutshell, all these latest actions make her and her husband look very bad; regardless of whatever the motives are: purely wackiness or blackmail.

    1. That's just dumb.

      Beth is not intelligent.

Beth has had a string of political consultants do all of her moronic writing for years.

As to her intelligence, she has taken an enormous amount of goodwill and millions of dollars and turned it into two terms in the city council and she's facing millions in ELEC fines for even getting that far.
