the issue: is the chairman doing his job? if so, let him be. if not, kick him out. simple. being african-american has nothing to do with it. who cares what his race is, you are judged on performance. why is that even mentioned, if not to just play the race card?
This particular Chairman is holding Reform commissioners at bay to keep certain items from reaching a vote. Can you guess what they are? The cynical ploy is to call anyone who dare remove this Chairman a "racist". Meanwhile, protocol is that a newly elected, reconfigured HHA board do a reorganization- appoint a new Chairman. HHA Exec. Director/Assemblyman Garcia is pulling out all stops to prevent this from happening.
There is no tool too filthy and/or divisive for Assemblyman Garcia.
Did Jessica Coco put this flyer up? Oh, no, law-abiding tenants aren't allowed to put up anything or disagree with anything. The serfs need to know their place. Only the paid hacks and supporters are allowed by Garcia to put up anything. Hey, why is advertisement allowed at the HHA, but not free speech?
For those of you who may not be up to date on these issues, the reform faction of the HHA board has been trying, ever since the composition of the Board changed on January 1, to amend the by-laws so that the reconstituted Board could vote on leadership positions. Finally, last week, the bylaw amendment passed facilitating an immediate vote on new leadership.
So, you may ask why does the HHA board not have new leadership? Well Judy Burrell surprised her supposed "allies" by voting against the reform candidate and for Rob Davis.
Ms. Burrell apparently told none of her "allies" on the Board that she intended to vote for Mr. Davis, though her vote did not appear to be a surprise to Mr. Garcia.
Who told you that? If Burrell had voted for Wefer she would be chair. Burrell voted for Davis. This is the second time she's been the deciding vote making Davis chair. But don't worry. Just like the first time I'm sure Burrell's friends have already come up with a way to blame Jake Stuiver.
I heard that Burrell voted for Wefer then bedlam ensued. It is not clear what happened, why Davis is still Chair, so if anyone who was there can check in to clarify that would help.
More... I hear Burrell voted for Wefer, but the vote was not counted because the resolution was not properly noticed... this all amidst said bedlam breaking out over the 'removal' of Chairman Rob Davis.
Funny, the fellow from the HHA's Resident Advisory Board is the one who Facebooks about lonely Jewish cave gals mating with jackals to create the Jewish race.

ReplyDeletesad.
The Chairman controls the HHA agenda.

Fascinating that its been put up by the HHA advisory board. How many members are being investigated for VBM fraud?

ReplyDeletePretty much what Patty Waitters, who is officially on Carmelo's payroll, said at the city council last night. Waitters does not even live in HHA.
ReplyDeleteHow does Assemblyman Garcia go about denying orchestrating both events - and using taxpayer money for one of them? If not both.
Thanks a lot Brian Stack. Any other riff-raff you want to saddle us with as representatives?
Let's play the race card. If the entire board were black, Garcia would have the HHA tenants arguing over the board member's "authentic blackness."

You've gotta be kidding. Burrell gave control of the agenda back to Carmelo?
DeleteI understand she was heavily pressured to do so, but I once respected her, now I no longer do.
ReplyDeleteHeavily pressured my tuchus. Imagine if Dave Melo or Jake Stuiver had cast that vote. Where's the outage? Why the different standard?
DeleteTrusting Burrell is, was and remains a huge mistake.
DeleteBurrell voted for Wafer.
